Wow you are really good! Great voice lots of passion! I always cry when i hear this song because it's so sad this is a great tribute! You should do something with your voice
Doesn't really fit the feel of the song, the vocals that is. Rock isn't meant for a classical sounding singer. Rock is meant for the raspy voices of Rony Van Zant and Kurt Cobain and Shaun Morgan. Otherwise it just doesn't match. Rock needs passion and classical vocals just don't have that. Classical vocals are merely routinely hitting notes as if it were only a job. Rock isn't a job, it's a feeling. Amy doesn't have it, and neither do you. Stick to classical singing.
I appreciate your comment and time to listen...but I have to disagree with you where you said 'Classical vocals are merely routinely hitting notes as if it were only a job!' You show no understanding of differnt genres of music by saying that-although some classical singers, rock, indie, pop ect singers may merley hit notes-that is not true of all..and I for one sing from the heart! Thanks for your comments though-Ruth x
This is my favorite rendition of Runaway Train; your singing and your playing both have real synergy with the feeling of the lyrics...I cried while I listened to you play it.
When I first heard Soul Asylum play it on the radio, I didn't know the background of the song and that they'd intended it to be about runaway children...
It immediately reminded me of someone I'd loved and lost--I think it's just a great song in general about anyone feels displaced and overwhelmed within their own lives.
Voice sounds good, just a little bit of constructive criticism. Try and relax more, in your vocals and your playing. Just rely more on you feeling the song, not a certain pattern of strumming or certain timing. Same thing with the vocals, just relax and feel the song.
great voice and excellent playing...really enjoyed listening...

IMO Ok but your voice is not matched to the key you are playing in. Try experimenting with different keys. Overall good job.

I didn't expect your voice to have so much vibrato. Good use of the diaphram....suggest you get a richer (fuller sounding) guitar....good job.

I think your voice is really great, but due to the fact that the quality is that bad i had no fun by hearing D:

soul asylum IS very folk! Only they had the one (or two) albums that sold. Otherwise most peeps wouldn't have heard of them. Solid work tho!

@gunner525 I think that's all crap. I think it fits just fine, as long as you're a good singer and interpreter.
