That's one HUGE reason they have more viewers. Plus a 50+ crowd ( baby boomers anyone? ) are easily sucked into fear tactics that FOX uses on a daily basis. Their commentary shows out number actual news shows and air times differ from that of all other networks so that FOXs commentaries are viewed during peak hours.

hahaha seriously? does it sound like i like o'reilly?? what I said above applies to ALL AMERICAN CORPORATE MEDIA - liberal or right wing it's all the same, they don't report news, they perform theater for distraction. to get an idea of what I'm talking about - take a trip outside the US and have a look from the outside. it's a huge shock to most people looking outside the bubble for the first time and puts how truly corrupt american media is in perspective.

this is a ridiculous distraction from what these people (newscasters) SHOULD be doing in a functioning, healthy democracy - BRINGING AUTHENTIC INFORMATION AND HEALTHY DEBATE ON REAL ISSUES TO THE PEOPLE.
instead they're getting caught up in their own egos and ratings, and turning the profession of journalism into theater.
a democracy DEPENDS UPON a FREE and FAIR media that does not sacrifice critical NEWS for an anna nicole smith saga and ratings profits.

What is O'Reilly talking about? No diversity at MS?Compared to Fox? MS has a very nice cross section of opinion. More so than CNN and Fox. Joe Scarborough, Tucker are almost completely commentary, whereas Olbermann was a gradual juxtiposition. There is clear diversity here. And genuine dissent. Unlike Fox, who clearly carry out covert opps.

O Reilly went to my high school. He was full of himself there too, and there weren't even any girls around. He was pretty much mocked behind his back and to his face for 4 years straight. Seems like he hasn't changed a bit except for becoming a bully. It really is hysterical how Keith Olberman gets under his skin. That hasn't changed.

I don't think much of Tucker either, but he is totally on the money here. Fascinating to hear that O'Reilly's irrationality is genuinely affecting his tactical nous - right now he's attempting to brand the *entire* media as "corrupt".

Every time Tuck Stabs on O'Reilly, I like him more. Although I don't agree with tucker most of the time, he comes off as one of the fairest conservatives on the news. I'm a lib, but Tuck is one of the only conservative anchors that doesn't make the republican party look like total basket cases by defending every bonehead move that any member of their party makes.
