@willegge.. looks to me like an 18" , since it is much smaller than a 20" , and i at the moment i am looking to buy one of these, and can only find it with an 18" bass drum...
@CocaineRubish .... bought a brand new catalina jazz just like this one a month ago and was very dissapointed with it. Its a very cheap build and although the 18" bass drum sounds great, the rest of the kit sounded flat. I sold the kit for a looss yesterday...it had to go! ......so my advise is if your choosing between a catalina and a yamaha stage get the yamaha..or even better if your after a small kit...get a sonor jungle.
I got one on eBay for 450.00 new in silver sparkle. The guy I bought em from said they were discolored. Some of the silver is turning gold in spots. For 200.00 off and to have silver sparkle I didn't care.
@piratedbox this kit is he'll to tune .... It all depends on what key you use and how you like to tune ... I use a firefly ratchet key which what I like to say is high def. Which means it really allows you to feel how tight the lugs .... Also ALWAYS use Evans genera g1 coated on this to get the best sound
love the way american folk like to talk about the gear so much......................just hit the fu**ing things!

Why don't you guys give the bass drum sizes your using? Is it a n 18 or a 20? that would be very helpful.
