  • i have a feeling that you are one of those rare people that doesnt really need to get "all acedemic" about your playing.

you have that whole instinct thing goin on.

i try so hard to "learn", only to discover that when i quit trying to learn, i pick up a thing or two.

my friend phoebe calls it "woodsheddin"

i calls it "luck o' the Irish"

keep playin', youngblood. God gave you somethin'.

    use it.

  • Listen to yourself and you will begin to realise your potential. I sense at the moment that you want to impress people. Once you get past that your playing will improve faster than ever.

  • wow keep it up, this not an easy piece at all.

  • my young friend, you are an amazing guitar player! please stay with it, and for what its worth you have great taste in music. i only wish you would do a lesson for those of us who dont have your ear for guitar.

  • want you to play dobro now...

    ok my roanoke,va=5=28=76

    involves a jAZZ ELECTRIC...

I HAVE HEARD MAD ACOUSTIC VERSIONS TOO...

    I HAVE CAPS LOCK ON...

    ..stoners...

  • Great - I still love it, but if I may offer a suggestion, slow it down a tad, soften the sound and you'll have more chance of getting more feel/emotion into the piece. Remember, the spaces between the notes are as important as the notes themselves.....Keep it up Guitarwiz!

  • Hey :) thanks again :)

And One thing I'd like to say is I only recorded these in one try. So if I made any mistakes I made the mistake. Its like that in life you just accept it :) I am awful for slowing things down because I like to play things as I've heard them which I consider the way they should be played :) Thanks Spike :D

  • Smile! Be serious but have fun!

  • I don't like my smile :)

Plus I'd like to be taken seriously but as you have requested the smile I'll try my best on the next one :) Thanks :)

  • Very nice, a great song and quite well played. My advice to you is to concentrate more on the evenness of your timing than the speed of your playing. Speed comes with practice - I think you pushed too much for speed here and the timing suffered.

  • Sorry I don't understand what you mean by evenness of my timing. Could you explain a bit further? Thanks =)

  • What he means is your meter. You speed up and slow down a lot during a piece. Your technical ability is good but you need to practice with a metronome to develop your meter. You can also do this by playing along with the recording. You'll see what he means when you do. Keep up the good work.

  • I understand now. However one comment I'd like to make is that when I do learn these songs in particular I usually am listening to them and playing along =/ I was wondering if there are any other tips to combat my meter problem? If not I shall continue to listen to them and see how I can improve them :) Thank you. Your help is much appreciated :)

  • The best thing to do is practice with a metronome.

  • I think he meant that you're off bit and you are, slightly. Great fingering, but I think you should slow down and listen to your dynamics and also timing. Cheers.

  • :) Thanks. I am awful when it comes to dynamics. I will be honest but I am developing the usage of them in my playing and hopefully implementation of the dynamics will be used in future recording (hopefully) :)

  • Hi Guitarwiz. I particularly like this one. You`re good, so keep on doing it and ignore some of the idiots on here.Hi to mam and dad and James. Best wishes, from Greg.

    (No. 4)

  • This is pretty good. Why not acoustic?

  • Get yer gtr out and wow us again. More sweet pickin' please

  • Any updates Welsh Wiz?

  • As of yet I haven't any ideas but am planning a recording soon. Thanks for a kind of reminder :-D

  • Very nice!

  • folk style guitar is sweet.

(if that's what you were going for)

  • Very well done, kudos for picking such a great piece to learn and play.

  • well done - beautifully played but on the wrong guitar. You are good - keep practising. I was expecting crap and was impressed.

  • Nice job, keep the Steve Howe posts coming.

  • bravo, it's cool boy!

  • it's good, i like it
