What is the biggest difference between the MSF's By Candlelight and Soft and Gentle? I purchased Soft and Gentle after By Candlelight sold out :-(

They are very similar! Soft and Gentle is a little bit lighter... better suited for a highlight color. By Candlelight is a more medium shade and definitely is more golden; it has quite a bit of bronze veining through it.

im not a huge fan of the mac paints either. i got one in a sparkly smokey black color back in 2002. but i hardly use it . whenever u try to use some and squeeze some out, it comes out way too fast and u end up wasting product. i like the paint pots a whole lot better!

maybelline does have really good pigmented e.s , i have to agree. their pretty good if your looking a a grugstore brand,. i got all 4 of their smoky eye quads!

The one I have almost seems to clump on my eye. It's weird. Also, they don't really act as a good base for an eyeshadow... there is nothing sticky about them (like a cream is) that can hold it in place. At least that is what I have seen in my experience with using them!
