I cant tell you how much I miss running on this layout. If I hadnt moved, I would still be a member. Just Love La Mesa. Good Video! Brings back lots of memories.
At the time of this video, the layout was running in ABS mode. Basically, engineers just run around and talk to each other in person to determine movements. Often, the layout goes into CTC mode if enough people are running. The layout also has TT/TO sessions where there are train orders. There are also modern opperating sessions that use CTC mode and track warrants.
sweet, i run on a modern day UP layout, its N scale. owned by a friend. It uses track warrants, given via radio, and a dispatcher, very fun stuff, at some points there are 4 trains out on the main with only 5 towns with sidings on the single train railroad. 2 locals are out at the same time, with a yard master, and staging boss adding to the crowd. look up marklestico in the search bar here on youtube and you can see his beautiful layout.
Kid, what is your problem? There is nothing wrong with filming your train, even if the person doesn't give you credit. So if you feel that way, THEN DONT RUN IT THERE!!
thats like BNSF getting mad at someone for filimg there train and not giving them credit. who cares? there on the layout for people to look at and film.
I like the MU set up of BN and santa fe. I really want that weathered to death Santa Fe Dash 8-40Cw unit at the end of the lash up. Hook a brotha up dawg! Oh and that weathered railbox at 0:56. How much for both!?
Sorry, these cars and locomotives are owned by the La Mesa Model Railroad Club and aren't for sale. I work there and I have rights to use them at the club. This is a club layout.
time flies
