and i wished i had a second bottle which i sadly didn't:( perfect for a hearty stew, roasted pork or beef and viciously addictive on its own, if you love good wines, u gotta love tannat
remeber that Don prospero is in the $12/$15 range in the US and it's more than good for the price, i got a tannat oak reserve from "bodega toscanini" and a big riserva 03 chianti clasico "querceto" and it tasted like an oregon pinot noir compared to the tannat, after 25 min in a decanter it was oxigenated enough to release all the aromas and flavors and no high acidity or extreme tannins at all, but lots of ripe dark fruit (the way i like it)
if you really want to try and trully enjoy good Tannats, i'd recommend "bodega H.stagnari" high end tannats, like "dinastia" either 03 or 04 or the "world champion" "tannat dayman" castel la puebla 03, there's a "prelude" from i guess "bodega Joanico" 03,04,05' superb wines!, if you're into big super tuscanlike wines, like barolo, barbaresco, brunelo de montalcino..i'm sure you'll like good tannats, not so easy to find though, but totally worth it
i liked the review, don prospero is a pretty decent wine, maybe a little bit young for a tannat (remember that such a big grape needs some aging and enough time to open to deliver all its "features"), tannat is very high on tannings which makes it a really good wine for aging but it could be very harsh if consumed at at early "stage" of maturation
wtf !!! if you going to drink, DRINK mother fucker dont play like that you know about wine cock sucker !!!

One of my favourite grapes, tannat. The other one is shiraz. And no... I never spit out wine.
