It doesn't matter if your old or young,female or male, especially since half of the instructors are old as dirt. Krav Maga should be a required course people have to take after they turn about 35 or so, because older people are the main targets of robberies and such. It's saved many a life and would have ended this quickly if they all knew it.

@TheRastaguy All of the services and special forces use Krav Maga or variations of it, and that is where you will be taught to do stuff like that. It doesn't matter if your old or young,female or male, especially since half of the instructors are old as dirt. Krav Maga should be a required course people have to take after they turn about 35 or so, because older people are the main targets of robberies and such. It's saved many a life and would have ended this quickly if they all knew it.

@AgentSpiral That's dumb, and this "Krav Maga" being specially given to secret service sounds like it's incredibly dangerous and requires a certain type of person to perform. In close quarters nothing is like in the movies, time does not slow down dramatically. Quick eval:Being elderly is an inhibitor, being a third of the weight of your enemy is a breaker, and learning these combat skills in one day and never practicing them is a guaranteed loss. One does not EASILY break a 300+ lbs man's neck.

But I assure you I'm not and I've been doing this for a while and it's not hard(to break necks). Also you said it might require a certain person to perform. That's the beauty of Krav Maga it's geared towards weaker people fighting bigger/stronger people similiar to Jiu-Jitsu. I've seen a 65 year old woman put the squeeze..

@TheRastaguy On a 25 year old male just by following the steps during a seminar,and she's not even a student she was just a randomly chosen crowd participant. Also just so you know, necks are one of the easiest things to break, because no matter which way you twist the torque is automatically going to send signals of panic to the brain. Someone could break their arm and still be fully mobile,but if you twist at someones neck regardless of if you break it, they will be useless from panic.
