  • I really enjoy your videos and love your personality! You've helped me so much even though I'm not a trans.

  • livin with family is abusive to us trans folks in my case nyc is a place where trans folks legally are allowed in womens shelters.

  • i was homeless myself, but that was way before i started transitioning. there's a homeless out-reach program here in Worcester, Massachusetts called Community Health Link on Jaques Ave pronounced Jakes. i was going there way before my transition.

  • The Covenant House in Houston accepts LGBT PPL!!!!!

  • @Kjmap91 not in 07...i called them when i was homeless...and not adults

  • @nochokin I know the one in Houston is accepting LGBT kids n youth now :)

  • @Kjmap91 well that good news

  • Transgendered people out there if you are seeking work and have had major surgeries such as removing ribs and breast implants there is work for you in Japan as escorts. It might sound f*ckd up but there is a high demand in Japan for you. Brazilian transgendered girls have plenty of work there and live in luxury. I know this because I was stationed there when I was in the service and have had ladyboy friends that I always chilled with cus they hooked me up with hot girls and free drinks. lol

  • I think your voice is strong for the curious you hold a very beautiful inner strength and love for yourself that can't help but multiply I hope peace and love manifests all around you until your time comes your a beautiful soul beyond gender and I hope those afraid or confused find this message..............for real yous a man god damn nice tits

  • it is hard but it pays the bills

  • Fuck, this is crazy. And fuck around with mofos that will take care of you and take you in as I learned, which is why I started my business in this industry! LOL

  • Awesome message. people judge me for being a sex worker, yet in this fucked up, reckless society where people go and get a paycheck for murdering others for oil, as was the case of a former classmate from high school of mine who was already fucked up in the head and then joined the military where 1/3 womyn get raped and ALL are killers, none of these people are paying for me. But I almost, i hope I don't come to homelessness. I "diversify" now and struggle in this hard economy. It's hard for us!

  • I am a transgender AF vet, no one accepts me gay or straight. I am a the end of my rope.

  • @WAX1138 Sorry to hear that from a fellow vet. I am straight therefore can't really relate to your situation just wishing a fellow brother or sister in arms the best in life. My best regards- AL.

  • @dinamo4889 thank you for the kind words

  • It sucks bein a hoe just to live

  • @NataliaARose I like it, but I charge $300 an hour as an escort and not do it out of pure desperation. Of course we all do jobs we don;t want to do to chase the dollar to make a living in THIS system, but that's just the way it is. With the rapes, and the horrible treatment that you all get as streetwalkers on the street from TRICKS, PIGS (COPS), it's hard!

  • Girl, having been there, and having few to no options with relatives - at the time, I was actually sleeping at my job! There was a sofa in the basement that I slept on....scary times. Fortunes do change though...the darkest time is just before the light. :)

  • Off topic, love your top!

  • You look so beautiful girl.:) I love you topic. <3 much love

  • @ForeverYours897 thank you for watching

  • I have always kept u in my prayers even though we lost touch. When I hear how u made it through it reminds me how God heard me....love ya Diamond.

  • You have really been through a lot. I thank God you are well,

  • @lczwife thanks for the prayers and love doll,,,:)

  • Your voice is so important! Keep these videos coming! Before I came out as trans I was homeless for about 6 weeks in new mexico (I had a job that came w/ housing and then I got fired) I lived in a tool shed on a ranch owned by ex-cons and got a construction job. Got the shed and the job by walking into a bar in a tiny town and explaining my situation. Looking back I think the "woman" who owned the ranch is probably a trans guy who doesn't know it yet!

  • @sillyyetsuccinct thanks you for sharing, watching, and supporting

  • So I immediately got $140 from my "friend"and hopped my ass on a red eye (first plane out)!!That's was the best thing happened 2 me..here in new york within the first 6 months ur in a shelter and they see u doing well..u get section 8 housing!!Which is what I got with 6 months!!Ohhhh and I follow u on twitter..I'm behold_a_bad1!!:)

  • @puton77 what shelter did you stay at? because i might become homeless soon.

  • Giiirrrlllll...ur story is so much like mine,I'm originally from southern illinois and when I was younger yeah I fell on hard times and needed a place 2 stay but I couldn't imagine myself going to a shelter so close to home in chicago..I needed a fresh start!!:) So like I said,I researched and called the shelters in new york and could u believe they said we'll hold a bed 4 u if u can make it within 48 hrs...

  • PFLAG may be able to help.

  • Yesss please spill the T on how organizations want to help you if you are HIV positive. Some girls are purposely trying to get infected just to get some type of service.

  • Nice video. And I love your hair in this one too :)

  • love youuu have a great day mummaa! x

  • Glad your doing better now sweety...

  • Also, LADIES!!! if you're homeless, and cannot find work whatsoever!!! and you escort- this is what I would do/did: stay in a shelter if you can, and get a homeless verification document. apply for financial aid and enroll in a community/junior college- and use that money to pay first, last month's rent, and then turn tricks to pay the rent :)

  • girl, i was homeless when I moved to San Francisco- for 11 months- from living in hotels, then roommates, then a youth shelter, then a transitional house that later closed, to hotels, shelter, etc. There are major stigmas tied to homelessness, no matter what city you live in- laziness, drug abuse, etc. I never did any of those things. I networked heavily. Getting a job in SF and being trans = not going to happen easily. i volunteered at a nonprofit, and got the job months later bcuz they knew me

  • At one time I worked for an organization (Gulf Coast Community Services Association) here in Houston. While they do not provide shelter, they do provide rental/mortgage assistance, utility assistance, a food pantry, etc. Unfortunately, I do understand your issue with organizations only helping certain types of individuals (i.e. only "positive" transgender's). Most of the time this is due to the strict regulations of whatever grant the non-profit is receiving. BTW...Love your video's

  • i'm sure this video will help a lot of people. Great job :)

  • i thank God I never been in that situation but ive always wanted to open a shelter. you inspire me. thanks for talking about this. have you ever thought about opening a shelter with a grant or government contract?

  • @jchance313 yes but im lazy....that is alot of work...i woud love for someone to do all teh work but i run it once it open...lol

  • @nochokin girlll ill help you :) i think there needs to be a change

  • Diamond! Just wanna thank u for sharing this story. I've never been n this situation but it has reminded me ... there's a LOT 2 pray for. And so many issues n the world. Like the comment below, u r a blessing 2 all, not just tranny's. I wld love 2 c u on the Big scree... the world needs 2 hear u on A much larger scale. But for now, thnk GOD 4 YouTube! :) God bless u Much!

  • you are such a positive role model for all people not just trannys...be blessed!!

  • @athomas1124 thank you so much for the assurance

  • @nochokin are you trans

  • @MsMichelle103 kind of a dumb question...are you tryin to be funny or just asking a dumb question

  • @nochokin i'm just playin , chill. your very glamorous and could easy pass as a women though :)

  • @MsMichelle103 im not tryin to pass as a woman...Im a transsexual that what i am and what Im tryin to be...not a female

  • Great advice and very thoughtful of you to create a video about this topic. I hope one day you become financially wealthy because I can tell you have done a lot in your life to help others.

  • Work it sexiness!

  • @AEONfarr i hit her up...she said they didnt have anything in that regards

  • I love this video Diamond, your always agreat story teller,LMAO @ WHat???? im 25 , be a boy.......... uhhh uhhh I CANT DO DAT!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ,#epic

  • I know this is not PC to say, but sometimes I think unless a person can actually "pass", they should think long and hard about living their life as a woman until they have the resources to pay for all the things necessary to do so. And sometimes, there is no amount of money that will do it. It is just too dangerous. Can't work at a regular job. Dangerous on the streets. It is all about survival. My heart goes out to all homeless people. "By the Grace of God, There Go I".

  • i would start walking the streets to make enough for a hotel then,,,..... keep on tricking until i get an apt then trick and look for a job....

  • Such a great storyteller!

My bit of advice for homeless trannies.....keep your eyes peeled for Eddie Murphy!

  • @moviedan lmao get outta here bitch...lol

  • One of the wealthiest countries and people get help with "stipulations." That's just crazy. Great video.

  • You are such a great african American woman because y ou just glow in your skin and you are like the Miss 411 as far as what is going on in the black community...It's so important to have a balance bet the superfical things like hair, makeup and the clubscene with the realites of life, housing, sex, unemployment, drugs etc....keep making these videos because they are needed for everyone! We can all learn from you sis...bye

  • @skyiscrying53 thanks you for the positive feedback....thanks for watching

  • its so crazy, just in my cultural class for counseling we discussed proverty and sexual orientation, transgender specifically, and when i got home on youtube, lol, here you are discussing it. wish i knew...we could of watch this in class.

  • @mzdestinee2005 you can just show them next time your in class

  • Part2

There are still homeless people, but they could get the money (or do) and could have the right to a social flat but often they have different problems as reason for it.

If I thinking about it I thank that I have the luck to not have to dealt till now with that. (Oh no, I have probs of my own, too -> like mind and body does not fit right ;) )

Thanks again for your vids - You give me something to think about and hopefully your vidz helped or will help others.

  • Till now I was not in a situation like that and do not know if I could handle it. Where I live you have problems as well and you can get stuck in the bureaucratic but the social security is stronger. I don't mean that offensively. You have the right to a flat and get cash (if you have 'nothing') about 400$ in a month for living (what is very hard to life from). But it is endless. Part1

  • Thanks for sharing I live in new york there are several like sylvia place and others I am not of the transgendered but this could apply to anyone good to know

  • NYC-SYLVIA'S PLACE

the metropolitan church has open doors for GLBT

  • THANKS!!! for touching this subject, many trans people have forgotten that our voices are going to lead to our growth, hopefully this plants a seed.....next time I see you in YO's I will have to introduce myself. STAY STRONG IN YOUR WORDS BABY, ATLANTIS

  • I was homeless at one time!!!! Made me stronger!!! Love you for talking about this. Stay blessed and beautiful!!!

  • After 10 years of fighting, we just got Covenant House to start serving trans folk. The Houston Area Women's Center takes trans folk fleeing domestic abuse. The best thing to do is to go to the Transgender Center at 604 Pacific in the Houston Montrose area and get some help.

  • @ehipassiko Thanks Kristen....i wish i knew you when i first moved here and need the info..lol

  • in the LGBT community ..being homeless is common. It takes great strength and faith to get by and find a better way
