This one focuses a lot more on Ursula, which is cool, but I also love the real one in Disneyland. They're really different, and as cool as this one is, the real one is AMAZING.
@Superstar33000 I think the real one has it's pros too. I love the "Going underwater" effect for example. But yeah... it should have the Ursula Battle scene shown here.
Wow, Disney. What happened?! This was sick! It would have gotten so much praise. Must have ultimately been too dark for a Parks ride. Even though they're called dark rides...haha.
Wow I have to admit after riding the new ride and seeing this again how much more superior this ride wouldve been if they actually made it. For starters, the story is a lot more detailed and HUGE sets which makes it look and feel more grand compared to the new ride. And yeah the ride systems seems a lot more cooler too.
Dont get me wrong, I like the new ride, but something feels like its missing like maybe a stronger ending for one and wish it was bigger in scope as this one.
@TheCoasterman17 I won't. The Florida version will be the same of the DCA version. Except the show building will look like Prince Eric's castle and the waiting line will be a sea cave.
This ride looks EXTREMELY complex. It looks AMAZING, but I have no idea how they could possibly achieve that, moving from huge scene to scene like that.
How on earth can ersla be the ruler over the ocean then have the Sean where thy almost kiss then jump straight to there wedding she would be way to straight forward for me ;)
@jeremyjealousy Actually...the correct part ofthe voices were the original cast of the little mermaid and were asked to recreate and lend their voices to the ride
i wish the ride was a lil more like this. yea the animatronmics in the one now are amazing but this has more detail in the storyline of the attraction. the one now is like a collection of only the iconic scenes.
Aw dang, I wish they had kept this as the actual ride. It looks like the Ursula scene at the end could have freaked anyone out, especially little kids, but they have enough little kid rides. That would have been way better than this new ride.
@cutie3638 No. the one opening this June at DCA, currently stands where the old Golden Dreams theatre was, and the one opening in the Magic Kingdom in Florida in 2013, will stand where the old Toontown was, i believe?
@ThatDisneyKid The Little Mermaid ride at Magic Kingdom sits where the old 20,000 Leagues show building used to be. Toontown was demolished for the "Dumbo's Circus Fantasy" area, where Dumbo will be moved to.
Oh, this is for real?! :'D OH MY GOD I'LL PROBABLY CRY. This was my FAVORITE movie when I was little! I think its because my dad has always been a fisherman, so since I was tiny I loved fish in general, so a half-fish princess was PERFECT for me.
Nevermind... Its undecided I might go if this is in California. I've only ever been to Disney World and Disney without The Country Bears and a ton of other things just wouldn't be the same... :( And I dunno where exactly to find Pinocchio in CA... (I have an OBSESSION with Pinocchio. <3)
@cutie3638 Not in CA. But in FL no rides are getting replaced except Snow White Scary Adventures which i'm really bummed out about because that ride is a classic. But this ride isn't replacing anything. A princess hall will replace Snow white but there is a new roller coaster coming "7 dwarfs Mine train" it like a cool coaster with 2 drops and a brand new ride techonlogy. where the car sways back and fourth. Hope this could answer it!
@DisneyRidesDisneyFun I didn't, it was part of the Little Mermaid special edition dvd that came out a few years ago, this was the original ride concept, up until a about 2 years ago! :)
@TheLollypopgirl369 An almost exact version will be opening up this May at Disney California Adventure in CA, and in 2012 at the Magic Kingdom in FL. Should be amazing!
it isnt working

The scenes here are mixed up and they really don't look like the ride they ended up developing. Nice try, but not great.

Where the hell did they get the voice at 2:08?!

@jeremyjealousy I think it was one of the original recordings for Ariel's voice for the Unfortunet Souls scene.

@ThatDisneyKid maybe or maybe not. i believe its just cut from the movie audio but it does sound odd...
