i agree with the woman in the audience - lets take action to ensure gender parity for all institutions, projects etc that receive govt funding. clearly the current system is discriminatory and denies women artists access to paid work NOW.

advise that women artists must advocate for themselves... surely we should be asking why don't male artists have to advocate for themselves? WHO is advocating for them. the arts industry is made up of people, many of them women directors, curators etc, who advocate for them.
