You're absolutely correct. That's saidi. A traditional Egyptian dance. The way I see it, it's like you're riding a horse or if not, they are shepherds and a shepherdess whom having a good time in the fields.

@melikeit7 - good comment which shows considerable insight into the art form. Any art form is enhanced by variation and this type illustrates that well. Notice how in her saidi dance she was fully costumed. In her solo her costume was a lot more revealing and allowed for a more fluid performance. To me, it is more artful with greater aesthetic merit. But again, this is only my opinion. As always, each person has their personal preferences.

Pardon my prejudice but a true belly dance (or more correctly, Oriental dance) should be done exclusively by women. While her dance is very fluid and graceful, the men on the stage detract from the art in her work. I do not mean this as a denigration or personal attack upon anyone. Just my own view.
