Oriental dance in not about how we can keep a long shimmy, every dancer is diferent ...as and art form the dance is good when the performer express something and touch you in many ways is not about how many shimmys you can perform.
If she shimmies & holds it for more than 8 counts I'll be completely convinced. She is beautiful, has good technique for arms and turns BUT CANNOT SHIMMY. It seems so crazy that a woman that does not sustain a clean shimmy for more than 3 counts in any of her videos has gotten as famous as this dancer has gotten! We live in such a strange world. I just went through all her videos & there is nothing but shoulder shimmies, and weird little iffy vibrations. Not a solid shimmy anywhere!! Nowhere!
Hi, look into her videoteque on video called Sandra bellydancer Tabla solo (in black and white costume), and you will see how she can shimmy :) I don't know Sandra personally, but she just don't want to amaze the audience with "cheap effect" of long minutes lasting shimmy.

Every dancer wants to go to Italy! I would love to :) I think i'm supposed to come over for a show, but i don't know about a workshop, and i don't have a date yet. But i'll let you know!
