@silentsniperrr No they aren't Mercenaries. The group of 5 main characters in Socom 4 are a special forces group for NATO. The main character is a former Navy Seal and as far as SEALs I think he is the only one who was a Seal. The girl is from Korean Special Forces I believe

Id like to see a Combined Assault remake! loved the multiplayer! Convoy was (in my opinion) the best game mode i have ever experience in any other game. Go ahead and challenge Convoy. Rush in BFBC2 is the only game mode i think that can challenge it. (again this is my opinion but id like to hear anyone else's opinion)
I personally think this game might not suck, but it's problem is THAT WE GOTTA PLAY IT WITH PSMOVE DILDOS! Maybe after a few patches , when we are able to play it with Dualshock Controller, it might be good. BUT STILL, I WANT SPECTER AND JESTER!

i watched some game play of this, it looks lame. the friendly AI doesnt even take cover. they just walk around in the middle of the street, so anoying.

I personally think this game might not suck, but it's problem is THAT WE GOTTA PLAY IT WITH PSMOVE DILDOS! Maybe after a few patches , when we are able to play it with Dualshock Controller, it might be good. BUT STILL, I WANT SPECTER AND JESTER!

First off MAG was garbage...think the sales represent that. Looks can be deceiving.
1.over the shoulder = garbage. Bring back third person. Or at least a third peron option.
2.This new crosshair that's like House of The Dead, get rid of it.
3.Prone peeking around corner, please enable this option Like SOCOM 2.
4. Bring back private/ custom rooms.
5. Add bonus maps from the past like Harvester.
6. If not release SOCOM 2 on PSN.

Gosh SOCOM has got to be the game where all the memories are at... Played it from the very beginning and I think SOCOM 3/CA was the best as for online. I didn't have the most fun on Confrontation, didn't live up to 3 and CA. But I have a feeling Zipper learned something from Confrontation. Damn...

@MrCombs234 wow socom is about stealth and team play and yes camping.camping is apart of socom defensive and offensive play.differnt players on socom have their own style camping and rushing.a good clan has both.its funny if i get shot on cod i see the replay or it spawns you around the corner from my killer.so if i kill u your prob coming back for me. so if i move five feet and wait for you iam not camping iam counting on stupidity for revenge.a good player camps and rushes knowing when to.

Yes i've camped before and that's because u want to get some kills but you can't do it like the other guys. Your clan must SUCK. And no Socom is not about camping When pros kill, they just move on not to give their position away . And if you are a sniper,yes you can still move and find another position after you killed. Five feet is nothing but I'm saying about like 10 meters at least

BTW this is SOCOM video so my first thought was that you just knew how to get a sniper rifle, get on the roof of a building, and stay there for 3 hours, owning people next to the Spawn Point or their goal. But if you kill someone, hear a noise ,hide and wait for the guy, that's not camping.And yes there are goals in SOCOM

I agree with the lack of any realism in this generation of shooters..... created for crackheads by crackheads! The old single player style Socom were you had sneak around and have some serious PATIENTS to complete a mission! It's so sad that all shooters became multi-player!!! Corporate Greed is the enemy!!!! They don't care about their fans!!! All they care about is money! Socom/ps2 was the only game i use to play! Maybe if Socom 4 is "old-school" i might have to run out and buy a PS3 +_+

Another thing, THIS IS A GODDAMNED TRAILER. Stop saying SOCOM 4 will suck. You haven't seen what it even is yet, assholes. MAG looked like some crazy, 256-player-per-server madness before release, but it is actually very fun. Godfather 2 looked like a great game before release, AND IT SUCKED. So shut the fuck up with the criticism.

@callsignferret Look at the trailer for SOCOM 3. Look at gameplay videos. Look at THIS trailer, for SOCOM 4. Look at pre-release gameplay videos. Compare. SOCOM 4 looks like some kind of CoD-esque run-n-gun peice of shit. Plus, this trailer just makes it look worse. It makes it look like a low-budget cross between Resident Evil and BLACK.
