i believe the entire world should revolve around me, and that there is no rational argument against that point of view. i would prefer suicide but hopefully they could screw around with my brain and make me happy again

The story of both of these people is remarkable as is their recovery. It should show people that some with mental illness are not crazed and permanently dangerous but can return to productive lives. The process just needs to be managed carefully. They pose far less danger that many other people who are let out of prison with no support or those who have no access to treatment in the community.
