Politics just isn't that simple. There are times you can introduce legislation, and times you can't. When BOTH the House of Representatives and the Senate have Republican majorities, who are inherently against health care legislation, there's no way a health care reform would pass in Congress.

All the money goes to the doctor, so costs are minimized. You don't want health care, be sure to set up over 50 organizations to stand between you and your doctor. That makes sure your costs are high, and any chance of treatment is minimized. Hillary put her rubber stamp on it, after every bureaucrat and clerk made sure their rice bowl was safe.

@buisyman Hmm, let's see: The Greenspan commission for one. Instead of assaulting entitlements, Reagan, to his credit, SAVED social security. What was one of the ways he did so? Raising payroll taxes to higher than before the 81 tax cuts. Also the Tax and Equity Responsibility Act, which cut back many of the 81 tax cuts, raised corporate taxes and some income taxes. That raised taxes to almost 1 percent of the GDP. There was also a 1982 gas tax increase.

He also created the first czar, and instead of dismantling the Dept of Education, he created a new Cabinet position, expanding the executive branch's bureaucracy. I dont know for sure, and never really payed much attention to him or the matter but i guess there was some deal with like affairs or something.
