I'm pretty sure it's a Shemp episode but I don't know the name of the episode.. I remember one scene they were standing outside of a spooky mansion or something and the boys were like "they went into that house"

I think it's an episode with Slip you know? The character. They were chasing him but I don't remember the episode.

Sadly it was Shemp's last original short before he passed away. Shemp appeared in some movies with Abbot and Costello, and was funnier than Lou Costello. Unfortunately, this footage was cut, as Lou Costello made sure it was edited out. Never cared for Lou Costello. Shemp rocks!

What a lot of people don't know is....Shemp, Larry and Moe were the original and first line-up of the 3 Stooges. Shemp left the act right before they started making movies and shorts. Curly was Shemp's replacement and then 14 years later when Curly left the act for health reasons, Shemp joined the act again. Thats why the transition from Curly to Shemp worked so well. Shemp already knew how to be a Stooge.

@bjsaltzman Let's not get too carried away! Sure, I never appreciated Shemp when I was a kid - disappointed when the episode was Shemp was on instead of Curly. But I grew to look forward to Shemp episodes as much as Curly episodes. But the nod still has to go to Curly.

It's very unlikely the stooges would have become so popular without Curly. Shemp came in after Curly laid the groundwork and I think a lot of us appreciate Shemp in that context. Shemp never tried to be Curly, but he was hilarious, definitely.
