Sure the S2000 was faster but I'd rather own the is300 for practicality of having a four door car over a 2 seater and I own an 04" is300 with a manual tranny.

a gte block with a stage 3 kit should be putting out a shit load more power then 509 at the wheels, swift racing can put down more then 700 on regular pump gas. If your not cheap with your mods that car can destroy anything !

I have a stock IS as a daily driver and a modded s2k for the weekends. They are both awesome cars, the IS is just super slow from the factory.

after looking at alot of 2jz vids and dyno numbers, can i say 505hp at 25.5psi sounds a little on the low side? my buddy makes 780hp at 29psi gte on 860cc injectors and i made 480hp on my old na-t @ 17psi on 550cc(lean). my old ls-vtec eg made 320 on 12psi +hondata. somethings up with the is300?

Depends on the turbo sizing/efficiency and how many CFM's of air it flows at that boost pressure. You can't compare turbos PSI for PSI without looking at those specs and the rest of the setup.

lighter weight + shorter gears in favor of the s2k. Kinda looks like the IS is running a 5 speed, not the getrag (V160 6speed). The gears seem a little too long. Probably a R154 or W58

bet the lex was a manual with a V160 (supa tt tranny) swap. the auto even with available upgrades couldn't handle 600 whp in an IS300 and the stock 5 speed tranny would die at 350 whp.
