Those kids in the cast in the credits didn't exist then when the kids that Big Bird walked with in the credits. The scene was filmed in circa 1988.

PieFights: Actually, they only finally removed Jim Henson's name from the slate in 2002, 12 years after he died.

I don't know why, though. Because nothing's changed---they still run some of his old performances just like before.

Was this a custom closing credit sequence just for this episode? I thought they just used the regular Barkley and the Kids closing in the 1991-1992 season

This was used to replace the Barkley credits when they repackaged older episodes during the 1992-93 and 93-94 seasons.
