  • Big Bird is doing his good deed for the day.

  • David L. Smyrl is credited as Mr. Hanford at 0.30

  • oh gosh i havent seen this in YEARS!!!

  • I know I'm too young to know about this, but Why does the sun set on this beautiful day???

  • i don't remember this closing. what year was this from?

  • 1994

  • 1992.

  • I used to enjoy this show, especially this ending theme music.

It's a shame that it has finished for good.

    :-)

  • I used to enjoy this show, especially this ending theme music.

    :-)

  • nothin' big, but intrestin'

  • Those kids in the cast in the credits didn't exist then when the kids that Big Bird walked with in the credits. The scene was filmed in circa 1988.

  • I miss this ending sequence. I It's better than the one they have today.

  • Frank Oz... Richard Hunt... Jim Henson....*snif*

  • Frank Oz is still alive.

  • Yeah, but he's not with the show anymore. Or not as much as he used to be.

  • he still does Bert, miss piggy, and Grover.

  • (Cries and blows nose)this was the theme song from my childhood...and now it(the theme music)is gone forever

  • I thought they used the Barkley closing credits in 1991-1992. I think I remember seeing them as a kid.

  • Toots Thielemans is da man! Love that harmonica, too bad they had to replace that awesome music with the hiphop sonding stuff.

  • to true think thats why i learned harmonica later in life maybe cos of sesame street tune cos i always loved that whaling sound!!!

  • jim henson died around 1993 i think.

  • He died in 1990

  • What year is this closing from to still have Jim Hensons name in the credits!!!

  • PieFights: Actually, they only finally removed Jim Henson's name from the slate in 2002, 12 years after he died.

I don't know why, though. Because nothing's changed---they still run some of his old performances just like before.

  • All right, over 700 classic sesame Street episodes uploaded by sawing 14s. You're the man, Sawing 14s.

  • The last one? So that would make this #3005, right?

  • I've seen this credit sequence in 1993 on my last day of school for the summer. That was when Big Bird was walking to Snuffy's cave taken from the late 1980's episode.

  • Thanks for the info. I was wondering about the date. I didn't know that Miles Orman was still playing Miles at this point though. I sort of thought Inani Patterson took over around 1990 or something like that.

  • Actually, I was surprised to see Desiree Casado's name there, because I'd thought she didn't start being Gabi until 1993.

  • It must've been a rerun.

  • Seems that most of the classic and more memorable clips were Jon Stone masterpieces.

  • By the way, one of the muppet performers who goes by the name Julianne Buescher, plays Anko on Naruto!!! Years ago, she used to play a few minor female muppet characters on Sesame Street like Betty Lou!!! :)

  • 700? *whistle* You're amazing!

  • Contratulations, buddy!!! 700 vids!!!! WHAT A MILESTONE!!!

  • I can tell that this is the repeat of Roxy's Doozy Bug because if you haven't noticed, Ruthie, Celina, Angela, Jamal, Carlo, Tarah, and Kayla are listed, and if you pause at 1:36, you can see part of the Noggin logo.

  • congrats on making the 700 post of your videos your the man

  • What is the name of the episode?

  • There are acually episode NUMBERS insted of episode NAMES, This is from Episode 3165 (AIR DATE: 12/31/1993)

  • You're pulling my leg. They started the calypso rock animated credits in 1992. This must be from the 80s.

  • Big Bird was in the credits in this episode

  • The next season featuring Caylspo closing with Big Bird And Elmo. And sawings' 700 post. Happy 700!

  • Congratulations on being the only classic S.S. survivor out there and for your 700 videos of course.

  • Was this a custom closing credit sequence just for this episode? I thought they just used the regular Barkley and the Kids closing in the 1991-1992 season

  • This was used to replace the Barkley credits when they repackaged older episodes during the 1992-93 and 93-94 seasons.

  • So am I to take it that this actually came after the "big city dance" credits sequence?

  • This was nice to see but nothing beats kids chasing Barkley in the park.

  • Don't remember the visuals very well, but that harmonica tune came right back to me.

  • This closing I remember when I was a little girl! I always dreamed of running through the park with Big Bird!!! Thanks for this!!! :)

  • 1991-1992

  • Awesome...ahhh these were the days, thanks for this man.

  • what year was this?

  • From episode 2910 where Roxie Marie finds her Doozybug in '92

  • 2910/3165 actually.

  • Knowing Sesame Street in this day and age, instead of Big Bird during the closing credits like that, it'd be Elmo. Either that or Abby Cadabby. Or both.

  • What year was this?

  • 1992!
