first of all sweet weapons dude. awesome weapons. second of all i wanted to ask you a question. I recently made a spiked club (by the way , I am a beginner at this stuff) and hammered some nails onto one end but didnt drill the holes altough they seem pretty stiff. but since no zombies are around...at least not yet... i havent had time to try it out. do you think this would be reliable, or would it break with just one blow? tks. (the wood is pretty thick by the way)

Very Nice Truncheons man, you have a good skill at this. The last one reminds me of a WW2 Trench Spike knife, but with a club end lol. Perfect for a quite liteal One Two Punch combo. Making a spiked (well... studded) one as I type. You're giving me great inspiration. Keep on it man, don't let those others put you down.

Pretty sick truncheons, I wouldn't recommend putting your hand in the lanyard during a zombie attack, you might find yourself caught in a wrestle match while trying to escape. I noticed you didn’t put one on the zombie killer... good choice.

It would seem better to me to start with a solid around piece of hickory, and then drill out the center, and add lead shot to that. Glue a plug on the end and you're good. The rest would be sanded.

quick pointer, to add to your knowledge do you know, the lanyard, put your thumb through it, pull the truncheon put and grip the handle with the lanyard around your thumb and over the back of your hand, and it holds it really tight. that was the old school way coppers used to carry them and how we used to hold the old NI issue riot batton.

I made a spiked mace out of parts from an old folding cart,I used the axel as the shaft of the weapon & cut out the spoke of the wheel making the mace head. Which was cilinder shaped,I sharpened the spokes with a file until they were more pointy then nails. I placed the head on to the axel,hammered on top a snug fitting washer,until it capped the mace head & the axel had small lanyerd holes.

And increasing the mace head's hold to the steel shaft & the finishing touch,sealing the washer with gorilla glue at the top of the cylinder mace head & thus giving it added hold!
