not really they pretty much have the same specs. One may be higher in price than the other but they are basically the same, except the Acer Aspire has a 8.9inch screen and the MSI Wind has a 10inch screen, personally I like them both, but if I was able to get the MSI Wind I would.

i got a Advent 4211, which is an OEM Version of the MSI Wind, its exactly the same laptop - different label.

My Battery is only a 3-CELL, and i believe so is all of the batteries for MSI Wind/OEM Versions of Wind in Europe.

the acer only has the 3cell battery out right now. acer is supposed to be releasing a 6cell in September. msi has both 3cell(linux) and 6cell(windows) batteries out right not. they get 2 hours and 5-6 hours battery life.

You could search on Ebay or something for the MSI Wind 6 cell battery. They work perfectly in the Advent 4211.

the MSI Wind is better than the Asus Eee PC. Much more slimmer and smaller. The Acer Aspire One is just like the MSI Wind so they are both better than the Asus Eee Pc

True don't forget the aspire one does not have wireless N but it comes with an extra SD slot, imo the eee pc is over hyped but the new msi u100 has everything the 1000h has plus better looks. I hope this helps :-) Ride with the Wind! LMAO

the Wind does NOT hav wireless N, but it has wireless B/G, which you can use. Although you can mod the Wind to have wireless N if you wanted too

battery life depends on what model you get. the 3cell Linux model gets about 2 hours. the 6cell windows xp gets about 5-6 hours.

Err, perhaps the guy was nervous when he was opening the box? Like, i know too how each possible box works, but when unpacking something valuable, esp laptops, i always manage to screw it up too. :D

Anyway, the aspect ratio of the video is all broken, which is more of an issue.

And a pity that MSI hasn't cared about creating a more compact charger and mains lead, it's just way oversized for such a tiny computer.
