  • haha nice, psp 1000, 2000, or 3000?

Most probably you will have to replace a few parts within the psp (you should probably call sony if your warranty is still active, if not i can show you how to fix this depending on the model)

  • my psp is model 1000 lol can u show me how to fix it?

  • the model is 1001 really

  • Yeah then you're a 1000 :)

  • wooot ty dude i finnaly got my rigth arrow to work!!!!

  • Does anybody know how to fix the O button? my O button is not working properly, i can press it but the system didnt get it, how do i fix it?

  • hey does anyone know how to fix a button thats kinda loose cuz i bought a used psp works great except for the X button

  • dude , the reason that the custom buttons aren't responsive is because that they're made for slim . but there is better fixes than the one shown in the video ( like little dabs of hot glue ) . sometimes the home bar buttons are too sensitive , in this case , u can use a nail clipper to cut parts of the bottom of the sensitive buttons off and / or bend or cut some of the corners around them to adjust their sensivity .

  • im confused, about 2 years ago i was on my psp browser and i got mad fer sum reason so i was holding the L button and it looked normal afterwards but now wheneva i try to write its always going bakc to the begining ,plz tell me wat do do and how to take apart my psp

b4 it would work,(it wouldnt turn on or anything), and then a few days later(today) i tried to turn it on again and it worked(the battery and the memory stick) but the problem is that the buttons wont work, and the buttons that wont work are the home button, the two volume buttons, the music button and the select button, plz i need help!

  • have the same problem too back then...the home button and the vol butt..wont work.

just remove the faceplate of your psp and get it back then try it... it worked fine with me..

  • OOMG! same wen you fix it plz tell me!

  • same here

  • hey guys i have a problem my triangle button has a glitch it doesnt stick down u can still press it but even thou its not stuck down it has a tendancy to hold down with out the button being stuck how the hell do u fix it can some1 help me

  • You have worn a spring :( That's not a good thing. You need to open up the PSP again, look at the spring for the Triangle button and see if the spring is, broken, or just sticky. If it's sticky, just clean it. If it's not, go to your local hardware store and try to find an identical spring to replace it :)

    Hope it helped

    Nathan

  • Hey, my psp right shoulder button keeps sticking, so every time i turn it on its on the settings menu. How do i fix this button??

  • Have you ever opened it up before? (btw if you want better response, time talk to me on my live broadcast...My camera is broadcasting 24/7 (check video info for link).

  • this guy now how to fixs psp lots

    gaminghacks

  • 4:53, can someone traduce ?

  • dude i love your psp!

  • i posted a vid of my problem

  • i just got my golden psp faceplate with buttons yesterday. i gave the buttons for my friends psp and i used my buttons on my golden faceplate... loookssss so much better black and gold....

  • i need to fix all the bottom buttons. Cleaning Solution somehow got underneath the buttons and totally ruined their workings... :S

  • you know like, the start button the volume button and the home screen button...all of those on the bottom dont work.. Please give me some advice, i really need it. it sucks not being able to pause in the middle of a game.

  • if you fried them with cleaning solution, it's unlikely they'll work again....you can get a replacement strip on ebay for sure...but are u sure it's from the cleaning solution? (try to avoid using liquid on electronic gear), just confirm it's from the solution by using the old faceplate.

  • How to fix my right arrow button

  • the way i described in the video lol, just put padding between the button and the rubber cover

  • how can i fix my broken L button

  • same how ironic lol,did u buy clear faceplate?,my fricken up button and my O button is jammed in all

  • Same.. But with my X

  • is your replacement button giving your problems or is it the default black one?`

  • its my clear buttons,is there any brand what makes a perfect fit accept the sony ones?

  • yeah asterix makes good ones, but if you use the fix in this video, then you shouldn't need to buy additional buttons

  • stuff it,im a busy man your tutorial is useful but hey i cant be asked to open the faceplae up numerous of times i might aswell get the Asterix ones, and im just wondering is there a way to fix the L trigger?

  • can anyone help i have a screw problem but its different the screws at the back right hand side can come out but i cant fasten them in again they jus keep popping out the bottom one is slightly more secure than the top i examined the screws and there appeared to be no problem am i right in thinking that its the hole that the screw goes through in the facplate is messed up so all i need is a new faceplate?

  • is your replacement button giving your problems or is it the default black one?

  • it's very difficult to tell how without actually looking at it...try making a video and make a response to this

  • Yes! It is my default X button, my friends said that the rubbers out, and they're too scared to rip out my faceplate, and I don't wanna do it.. I don't wanna kill my psp. Any advice?

  • well, have you ever removed the faceplate b4?, if not it's either the rubber, or the board which accepts the rubber hits (it could have shorted out), either way you have to send it in to sony or replace it yourself.

But if this happend after you removed your faceplate, then let me know b/c i could possibly have a solution for you.

  • name of this vid should be GILDED PSP! EWW!!

  • where do u get buttons w/o a faceplate?

  • i just bought mine 7$ and wit shippin came 2 15$ from hong kong

  • ebay

  • hi i have a psp fat and my psp aint like ur custom faceplate it's all original.the problem is tht my psp's circle button is broken and nothing and it was broken when i was travelling so i was wondering tht if u can help me plzzzzz :( waiting 4 ur reply

  • what do you mean by broken? be more specific, like is the button stuck pressed down? or does it press like normal just doesn't respond?

  • ok but in the mean time is there anything i cant put in place of the rubber circle?

  • i wouldn't recomend it, i don't want the plastic of the control pad wrecking the mother board of the psp (just to be safe, i'd avoid it)

  • The rubber thats gets pressed down came off my X button and now the X button doesnt work at all....is there any way i could fix this?

  • yeah

try and attatch the rubber again, or get a replacement off of ebay (they are dirt cheap)

  • How do u fix the R button?

  • well in most cases, the R button should be fine

  • and another thing would the original psp buttons work on the DGX faceplate im getting??

  • yeah, you wouldn't even have to mod them if you used the original buttons

  • hey man never mind i just use the buttons i got with the faceplate its just that the triangle square and w.e are blanked out but everything seems to work thanks for ur help anyways

  • if it still gives you issues, ask us for additional help on our live feed this friday @ 6pm (eastern)

  • by the way i was wondering do you know any place where i can get like buttons that have triangle square etc printed on the button because the faceplate i orderd those buttons are blanked...so just asking if u know where i can get a set of DGX pro buttons that would match mirror chrome?? that have the triange square.... or any other set of buttons that could fit for DGX.?

  • ooo kk yea i was usein a precision screw driver #00..k man ill just use the one that i get with the faceplate when it comes

  • so i just pull of the fcaeplate ur saying?? cause it wont come out that screw

  • if the screw doesn't come our man, i dont know what to tell you, becuase if you rip it out, your not gonna be able to put it back on

just make sure you are using the right screw driver

and are you using one of those precision eye glass screwdrivers? (if you are those don't work, use something with a plastic handle, one that is custom for the psp (a #000 philips)

  • yo i need help man like the black screw under the battery wont even budge do i still remove the faceplate the black screw at behind the battery wont come offf i try twisting but it wont even move i dsont want to try more cause then ill just strip the screww so what do id o do i just pull of the faceplate

  • yeah those screws are always in pretty tight, make sure you have a #000 philips screwdriver (this way you won't strip the screw)

  • nive vid...im getting a DGX Pro Faceplate Kit - Mirror Chrome - from deca girl that i orderd

  • cool cool, when you mod your psp send us a picture and we'll upload it to myspace (you can also upload it yourself to our facebook page)

  • everytime i try to type somtin on the browser the buttons go crazy andd i dont know what to do. can you help?

  • uve got a porn virus...naughty naughty

  • if you search on ebay for psp face plate, they do a gold one from hong kong which replaces front and back, has anyone done it and does it look cool or cheap? is it easy to fit?

  • i have heard about that, many people went out and bought them, but none of them have left me with reviews, read their seller feedback, maybe someone posted the information your looking for

  • man! i really should do this because my X button is pressed...

  • what if i sue the original faceplate with custom buttons or viseversa? are there any realted troubles?

  • if u use the original buttons in the custom faceplate, you will be fine

but if you put the custom buttons in the original faceplate, you will have the same problems as you would if you were trying to put them in the custom faceplate

  • does anybody know where i can get a plate for the back of my psp. i know you can get some from ebay but does anyone know were else i could get any

  • its difficult to find backplates alone, probably amazon is your best bet if your going outside of ebay (like 99% of mod chip stores will not sell backplates alone, most dont even sell them, if they do it comes with the faceplate)

  • what's a mod chip?

  • they are basically chips that modify some of the functions or adds features (like some modchips allow you to play burned games on consoles)

  • oh, is it like custom firmwares exept thier chips

  • sorta, it basically boots any two firmwares on the psp, you can do official and custom

also it makes your psp unbrickable (doesn't really matter now that the pandora is released)

all you do is hold L while you turn on the psp to boot the other firmware

  • so i can choose any custom firmawers that i want because if it's like pandora but just a chip then i'll buy it ebay is the chip a chip or a mem card

  • too complicated CBA getting new buttons!

  • my buttons on d pad barely work i should try this

  • yeah it takes some time but its worth it, sometimes you can get it more responsive then the default ones

  • when u buy a face plate do u have to take your psp apart to install them or do they just click onto the psp

  • look at the comment below

  • with faceplates do u have to take your psp apart to install them just like your gold one on your psp or do they come already so all you have to do is click them onto your psp?? thanks for the reply

  • psp faceplaters dont just click into place, you need to void your warrenty (not like anyone uses them) and swap the faceplates, its actually not very difficult

  • i got that gold face plate =] from ebay mines silver chrome faceplate with silver chrome buttons =] i love it like my handy mirror lol =]

  • What did you use to keep the plastic to the buttons , glue? if it was glue wouldn't it make the buttons all messy and gluey . or did you just put the plastic on there with nothing keeping em on?

  • you'll see when you open up the faceplate, theres the buttons and on top of the buttons (to hold them on the faceplate, there is a rubber cover attatch on, you put the plastic inbetween the rubber and the buttons, you'll see what im talking about

  • thanks so much dude...worked perfectly...my x button was so annoying getting stuck in all the time...super hard to talk to anyone...i didnt even have a custom faceplate...just a messed up x button for some reason 1 day it just started going in...anywho thanks!

  • Hey man did u buy that from decal girl?

  • dude overall i think u did a goodjob. keep it up man

  • thanks bro

  • can you tell me if i have to do this process with CAMY psp faceplates cuz im buying one and i want to know if i have to do this

  • um idk varies from company to company, the only one i know for sure you dont need this process for is asterix but others i have no idea

  • dam no offence kid but your voice bored me to death lol =P

  • hmmm "no offence"

let me allow u in on a fact, when people say no offense in a comment they usually are trying to be offensive

btw if the voice was annoying u so much, why dont u just click the back button rather then spending your time making a comment, this way u dont have to listen to my "boring" voice and u can watch videos of people with less boring voices during the time u were making the comment, so congrats on wasting your time :)

  • LOL HAHAHAHHAHAHA

  • What site did you get the faceplate from?

  • ebay....and if you find one, dont get the one like i did, get one manufactured from the company asterix because with their faceplate you do not need to go through the process i did for the buttons

  • do u glu them to it?????????

  • well, its not necessary

  • lol, i had to do that with mine, good tutorial!

  • this is the same with my boutons! thanks man!
