  • big tune

  • I want to do this in Skyrim....

  • My fear of wolves has been cured. Now I'm afraid of eagles.

  • FUCKING DESTROYED

  • those look like pretty small wolves - especially the one they strapped onto the horse. I'd like to see a golden eagle try taking down a wolf from North America - they are beasts!

  • @nitefish121

    Incoming Haast's eagle. lol

  • @nitefish121 sorry bubbo, but wolves from northern asia and north america are the same species (same sub species in fact: the northern gray wolf)

  • exellent movie..

  • @herkkutatti300 A wild WOLFABOO appeared!

  • @herkkutatti300 tree huger its a way of life its not like there killing the wolf and jest leaving it were it lay

  • @herkkutatti300 rofl, "protect", you're actually implying that an animal has the sensibility to understand empathy and altruism? enjoy living in your dreambubble.

  • @herkkutatti300 Oh,no thank you,Ive been to hell. Too warm for my taste. I prefer the cool waters. I think wolves are OVER-FUCKING-RATED.

  • @herkkutatti300 .. all people who commented against wolves they never seen a wolf. forgive those retards.

  • @mondude0 You and that guy your responding to.

Fuckin' hilarious. Really. Wolfaboos never cease to amaze/annoy.

  • hahaha some Wolves tore the fucking eagles to shreds though.check 2:09...the wolf is mauling the shit out of that bird.

  • @MattMzansi

Not to mention 2.22, that one bird would have been lunch in 10 seconds, had the other one not come

  • goddamn mongolians you kill all my shitty wolf!!!!

  • fuck mongolians

  • @VALLESIDE818 fuck u

  • While I do like wolves I have to admit this is pretty damn cool (:

The wolf at 2:05 has some balls xD

  • @MajesticWolfsx wolf win, or?

  • Can't tell you how many times i've been captivated by this video. I love the rich history, tradition, and respect for quarry. Just as the Wolf must kill to survive, these men must kill to protect their livelyhood and therefore, their lives. Beautiful song too!

  • @jedrey07 Also, f*uck wolves. They should be shot and pissed on.

  • WHERE IS YOUR WOLF GOD NOW?? >:D

  • Mongolian are sick people and Genghis is an example.

  • AWESOME! We're only allowed to hunt wolves with rifles in Sweden. :(

  • I Watched This And Then Start Crying Wolfs Dont Have To Be Treated This Way! There Beautiful Majestic Animals Yes Call Me a Wolfaboo If You Wish But It Dose Not Stop Me Loving Wolfs.

  • @strawberrycupcakez1 Wolves are awesome animals. It's not awesome to live with them close by. They belong where there are no people.

  • @MultiAZ3000 Yes But I Hate People Who Hunt Wild Animals Its Just No Right!

  • @strawberrycupcakez1 And I Hate People Who Overuse Capital Letters! Jokes aside, I suppose you don't eat meat either?

  • @MultiAZ3000 Well Not Some Meat I Try Not To Think About it When Im Eating It ^^"

  • @strawberrycupcakez1 Eating meat from factory farms while opposing hunting is the definition of hypocrisy.

  • In Mongolia's capital right now (December 18, 2011) it is 29 below zero F., which is -34 degrees Centigrade. Tough people are the ones who survive in a tough land.

  • Unique way of training the eagle, for hunting animals especially wolves. It is characteristic of people in Asia. They live in extreme conditions, and survive.

  • fucking beast!

  • I used to hunt wolves like that but then I took an arrow to the knee

  • @isabelacita Umm....they're wolves not dogs. There is a big difference there.

  • brill video wish i can get a golden in namibia to beat up all the jackal that kills our lambs!!!!

  • Awesome!

  • @isabelacita what the fucks wrong with you..? its only youtube calm the hell down

  • @lukeyboy118 FUCK U TOO!!!

  • @isabelacita any chance you can talk like a civilised person and not like a rabid monkey?

  • This music is pretty bad ass.

  • @isabelacita Likewise, Mongolia's winters are, how do I say for someone like you to understand... cold. As in, -20 degrees. Here is an animal that hunts livestock, is not a fwuffy wuvable dog you raise for your entire life, and has fur you can use to help survive that winter. The Eagles are an ingenious way to counter this problem.

So yes, fuck you very much, thank you. If this is how you really react to people alone telling you wolfs aren't domestic dogs, God I pity you.

    kthxbai.

  • You know what?

Fuck guard dogs, just import a Mongolian golden eagle.

  • freaking awsm the king of skies vs the hunter

  • I hate aerial wolf hunting!111!!

  • This music is sweeet.

  • im relevant

  • And at the end of the day. They hunters get dog meat...

  • Came for the eagles hunting wolves, stayed for the stereo sound Mongolian music.

  • badass

  • Reddit has arrived

  • @kuraibankusu Killer of the youtube troll. >:)

  • sarah palin aint got shit on mongolians

  • 2:20 "oh that eagle's fucked now..." then ANOTHER EAGLE OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE

  • I will never challenge an eagle to any kind of fight! Not even if I have a gun, I am now too afraid of them!

  • thats crazy

  • If that's a wolf, HOW FUCKING BIG IS THAT BIRD

  • @deathysmile not all where wolves a few like that one pic of a guy and his bird that was a wolf and golden eagles do like huge with their wing span of 9 feet or larger wing span

  • GO PIGEOTTO!!!

  • HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS?!?!?!?!?!

  • its actually kazakhstan, not mongolia. and its not a golden eagle, its a falcon. get your facts straight, please.

  • @momster777 That is not a "falcon", i.e., any number of species of bird of varying sizes. The raptors in this vid are, in fact, members of the Eurasian subspecies of the golden eagle. Look it up.

  • @Scandibilly they do use eagles but very rarely. depicting a hunt with a falcon would be far more accurate.

  • @momster777 The largest falcon in the world is the gyrfalcon, which at its very largest has a wingspan of 64 inches. The length of an adult wolf in the Northern Hemisphere approaches that length. The golden eagle has a wingspan of up to 92.4 inches. The video clearly depicts birds which have wingspans of greater width than the length of the wolves, not to mention that the birds look nothing like gyrfalcons but do exactly match the plumage, morphology and size of golden eagles. (continued)

  • @momster777 (continued) When hunting wolves, as is depicted in this video, only golden eagles are used as they are the only birds large enough to subdue wolves (except for the small subspecies of wolf found in North Africa). There's even a name in the region specifically for an eagle used to hunt wolves, a "berkut". Check out the Wikipedia stub article: "Hunting with eagles".

  • What the eagle do with the wold that he have to died, i mean why the wolf dying, from what ?

  • humans have become advanced enough to the point were if all the wild animals in the world died we wouldn't we wouldn't be affected.

  • What is the name of this song by Okna Tsahan Zam?

  • PS: Just immagine the entire world treating nature like these Berkutchi do? They don't mass slaughter cows to serve the world hamburgers. [insert roughly 1000 other comparisons to the cost of western culture] One nomadic tribe on thousands of square kilometres of steppes, VS 1 average European or American town...who would you say puts a greater burden on nature? Animal pounds all over the world are stuffed with elderly cats and dogs that were abandoned by their "loving" owners. STOP HATING!

  • Kudo's to the wolf @ 2:13 for putting up a fight. As a dog owner myself the pictures can be a bit shocking. But I should not picture my friendly Golden Retriever in this video. Both the wolf and the eagle are pretadors, and the Berkutchi are not reaping nature. These people live with, alongside, and from nature, just like the wolf and eagle themselves. This is part of their culture, and has been for centuries. Wich makes it something worth preserving. Not a greenpeace project.

  • Animals are a lot less picky than humans, if the truth were to be made known. I just betchya.

  • If the eagles could speak, they'd probably say "This is the life. Humans protect me from enemies, they make sure I get enough to eat, all for doing a little bit of fairly easy work. I got it made in the shade, dude!" I doubt that the Greenheads would like what these animals would really have to say.

  • After watching the entire video I'm over the initial shock ...while the music was amazing the images were often grainy and blurred

in some ways I saw a kind of balance of nature yet I find predation disturbing to watch even though I know the predator has babies to feed too

    thanks for sharing

  • Holy Crap that bird took out that fourlegged!

  • this videos is a breeding ground for a youtube trolls and wolfaboos D:

  • @Petr1000100 just fuck off.

  • i want to get a golden eagle to take out next doors fucking dogs !!! All they do is bark all day long ....i hate dogs !!

  • humans judgement will come again and again, to all you who speak about this way of life is wrong. do not worry, humans have no predators... except for other humans. war will reign through the whole world and engulf all humans, small big, young and old. and we will face judgment for our ancestors actions. i promise you that.

  • @EnjoiThrowdown im telling this with very respect EnjoiThrowdown r u telling this to me?

  • @DruviJ no, to the other gentlemen "chickidydow"

i support any true follow of our elders, we are all one. mammals in a chain of life a circle of existence. a team game of survival without one the other can no longer compete. the eagle is my brother and the wolf my cousin. the earth is my mother and tengri my father.

  • @EnjoiThrowdown i respect how u think about the nature.thank u for that.if people thinks like this world will be a very good place.i don't like hunting this much, cause in this modern world we are hunting someone isn't essential.any person if live as a beggar is good more than killing even a mouse.we all afraid to die no.same for every animal.we all don't like to be under another one.its same with every animal too.thank u for ur nice reply to me.everyone here fights with me

  • @EnjoiThrowdown then ok

  • I think that's the most amazing thing I've ever seen! Absolutely wonderful! We know people who've been to Mongolia and loved it. Apparently, they're very smart, nice people.

  • How big are mon wolves?? lol i just cant see a eagle over powering a wolf like that...my gpa has a wolf and its a beast and HUGE.

  • when people ask me "are you a wolf or are you a sheep????" I will answer, "Nah I'm a GOLDEN EAGLE"

  • where is the wolf pack? Were these wolfs in captivity then released? they look confused and scared.

  • I'm gonna get a golden eagle and train it to do this.....So people who piss me off are gonna be FUK'D haha!!!

  • wot beautiy u guys seen thes?thes wolf ding for thos humens.eagls hunt them not for ther on no for hunters.u see how much afred thos wolf?how much they trying too save ther life?r u seen any beautiy if u sow thes egals hunt humans?wolf r then one becoming dogs, mans best frend, just love all animels, dont eat them, dont kill them love them,i am werry dissapointet for i woch thes.

  • @DruviJ these wolves eat the way of life for these people, thier livesock these hunters go out and hunt wolves for n reason they hunt them in retaliation. learn your facts

    circle of life

  • @da2bos hunting livestock is the circle of life of wolves too.they can only eat meat.in this modern civilization dont wanna hunt n eat other animals like those people does n what is this justice?if they can hunt wolves its because wolves hunt is their livestock.then otherside mongolians keep those animals land for their purpose.whats the justice?wolves has to hunt.if not they cant live.but mongolians can learn, find jobs, grow plants.whats the justice of killing other animals?

  • @DruviJ i cant even tell what your saying, but from what i managed to discern from your horrific spelling its a bunch of logic-less, emotionally driven drivel. This sort of practice doesn't emerge overnight. Obviously the nomadic Mongolian peoples have had a long history in the practice of falconing, and clearly the wolves are still there eking out an existence.. You sit here at your computer with your context-less hubris and judge them without knowing the social or environmental context.

  • @Chickidydow then u doing wot?eating all the werld need, humens destroy all,.wot thes mongolian or any humens did for mongolian steps or any naturall biom?nothing just suking all.english not my mother langwag then i dont haw any shy for my wrong spling u foolish that much dont understand wolf pain.

  • @DruviJ All creatures manipulate their environment for their needs. Bees construct hives, birds construct nests, wolves dig out dens. Man is but another facet of the global environment. Of all the people you choose to criticize for simply living, you criticize perhaps one of the least harmful of all societies, a hunter gatherer society. They cant grow food on the steppes, which are only good for grazing and hunting. Try living in poverty and hunger and then you can criticize these noble people.

  • @Chickidydow don't bother man, i've had similar "conversations" with their kind on this video. As long as an animal is fluffy and pretty enough, there's no limit to the illogical things these guys will post.

  • @Chickidydow its justice, its right if they dont have any solution.this is not the time of Genghis Khan.now they can go to a city, find a job, bring fertilizers and then grow plants.mostly people live like this because of thats their culture and history.no matter what culture no matter what history, nothing can be compared to life.wolves love their pack members.they grew up their little ones with so affection.this is what they get from human

  • @DruviJ Also some fun facts for you. Wolf alphas always eat before their lesser members, even in times of famine. This often causes pups to starve to death in times of food scarcity. Wolves often time kill more than they need to eat, a practice known as surplus killing, something that hunter gatherer societies refrain from, putting in proportionate amount of hours of labor each day to their caloric intake. The only reason you care about wolves is because you think they are furry and cute

  • @Chickidydow i know all the facts you told about Wolves.not only wolves, dog packs are doing these things.but they never extinct any animal species from this world no?but human does that for a lot of lot of times and wolves doesn't hunt people cause people hunt their food source.m caring for wolves for their cuteness is not the reason.if u honestly say this,if u saw a pack of wolves hunt these Mongolians.lets take about these Golden Eagles too.they lost their parents, free life cuz of these people

  • @DruviJ Golden eagles and their owners in these tribes have a symbiotic relationship. The eagles are highly respected as a member of the family. It's much like keeping a pet. Or should I release my dogs to the wild, too?

  • @cunningire u gave a good answer.but again u didnt compare Golden Eagles and humans life not in equal.doesn't matter respectable or not.prisoner is prisoner.of course yes,if we take a puppy from his mother that's wrong.u don't wanna release ur dogs.because now he's already lost his parents.the only life he knows is with u.but what u should want to do is not to take any animal as a pet except for orphans.

  • then u forgot about these golden eagles.they lost their free life cause of these people.they lost their parents cause of these people.golden eagles never reproduce in cages.they only reproduce in places like their natural habitat and zoos.if u're a bird,do u like to live ur whole life under another creature?

  • @DruviJ what about their life?they wanna have their free life?people take animals' freedom.people take their children.people take their environment.after everything they take only thing they left, even their life.this is the answer im giving u.answer me now

  • @Chickidydow you can't think less of anyspecies. we are all equal, and we do our part together to all survive. teamwork or death . your view is a liberal warped sense of signifiance, that you used to make yourself feel better about your hard times and soon to come death. admit it. i speak the truth.

  • @Chickidydow sorry if i not been nice but r u not replying me?

  • @EnjoiThrowdown We are all equal? What color is the sky on your planet?

  • @bmihura what is the point of your comment. if you have an intellectual standing, and you are here to conversate man to man, than make a point.

otherwise, go play with the other children, pepito.

  • Respond to this video... this is same with the wolves too.they cant even eat plants.they're meat eaters.what you say if wolves hunt Mongolian people like this? will you still say that's how they're living? if you saw people dying by Dengue or Malayria in Asia because of mosquitoes? female mosquitoes can't have anything without blood no? so do you support for not stopping Dengue fever for human?this is not Middle Age or Dark Age.this is the 21st Century

  • @DruviJ You're putting words in my mouth and trying to make some sort of compassion less strawman out of me. This will win you no arguments. You also fail to realize that technology diffuses at different rates throughout the world. The standard of living for mongolian nomads is not comparable to the standard of living for agrarian societies. You seem to believe that wolves have more of a right to hunt for food than their human neighbors who have lived on the steppes just as long. They are equal

  • @Chickidydow humens not equal wolf emportent more then mens for thos steps they centroll nature hunters distrying it.ur wrong wolf coming too steps before then mongolians that a fact.yes every thing not same for every were in werld but they can move too nuther plase if they hunger government help them, where wolf go?hoo help them?even if thes camera crew will help if one of thes huntes get trobel but no help for wolf no,wot justice?

  • @DruviJ Nomadic indigenous peoples of the Mongolian steppes should move because a small minority of radically aligned eco-nuts think that wolves, creatures with far more limited cognitive sentience than humans, should have their meager existences catered to more so than sentient human beings? We're done here. You're so hopelessly infatuated with the mythos of wolves that you are literally saying that these animals are more important than self aware human beings. It is simply sheer idiocy

  • @Chickidydow helo bruther i can answer u agey ok,i seying trooth,u seying we r dun here then i stop thes, renember u the one give up,not me. i am still redy

  • @Chickidydow helo bruthr,i can still give u anser,but u seying u wona stop thes,then i will stop.renember u all i am not the on give up u r.i seying trooth..

  • @Chickidydow i can give answers for all you ask.but now you're saying you wanna stop this.its ok.if you wanna stop this argument i will stop.like most of you many human doesn't understand this.but remember this.im not the one who stop or give up.you are

  • @DruviJ ENGLISH MUTHAFUCKA DO YOU SPEAK IT!

  • @TripleA900 before any thing eles lern how too speak nice too nuther i geving all u seying bake too u.

  • we Americans have no right to judge, the early settlers shot the buffalo to the point of near complete extinction just to destroy the indigenous peoples way of life. Entire bird species extinct just to put fancy feathers in some "lady's" hat etc... on and on.

  • only Kazakhs and Kyrgyz nomads hant wolves with a golden eagle!!!

  • we Mongols and kazakhs are born as a nomad, live as a nomad, die as a nomad. Nomads shall never fall

  • And animals have ALWAYS fought, OrgXIII. It's our evolutionary heritage from them. Overcoming that heritage and rising up to something better is part of the uniquely human moral development. It's evidence that God endowed Man with a SOUL.

  • All you tree-huggers make me want to vomit. You're all typical of the godless, moral-relativism-teaching broken excuse for an educational system we have nowadays. You people don't care about objectivity or critical thinking. It's all about FEELINGS with you losers. Go sacrifice yourselves on Gaia's altar and leave decent people alone.

  • Hello, Carlos88Jackal, you ebonic-spouting treehugger. You are seriously in need of an education yourself if you think you have anything to teach me about wildlife or ecology.

I'm well-aware wolves don't kill gratuitously. I never said they ALL should be killed, either. But culling the population to some extent is good ecosystem management, AND is essential to protect these herdsmens' livelihood. These are men, and MAN deserves respect, as well. Not that you Gaia-worshipers care.

  • I see that most of the people here are somekind wolf non-lovers. Well, Im a wolf lover and what you see here is real. This is no fake. But, this is not natural. Cuz wild G. Eagle will never attack wolf. Here, he is just a man's weapon. He is trained animal, and if you could train a wolf, let me tell you, he will kill anything. And one Eagle is having problems in taking wolf out. I see that there are few birds attacking one wolf. (not fair)

  • And these are WOLVES, not dogs. If one wants to exploit people's feelings of pity, think of what your average sheep or goat looks like after one of these "poor wolves" gets through with it. Think of what the herders' bottom line looks like after a "poor wolf" socks it to one of his sheep or goats, too.

  • @dreadway3 I need to school you up man. Wolves are not what you think they are. First of all, wolf is a smart animal. He don't do surplus kills. Except if there are wounded ones in the pack. And he kills the weak and old animals, therefore young and strong have bigger chance to survive when there is shortage of food. So, he have a big role in natural order of balance. They are essential for the wildlife on planet Earth. Wolf is just one mighty animal, and he deserves respect.

  • @Carlos88Jackal no offense, but wolves only kill the young, old, and sick, because they're the easiest to get out of the whole herd of animals and are the slowest. And Wolves had surplussed killed, they do it all the time, especially when they're practicing hunting. If they manage to kill the animal, they will, but they won't eat it. The wolf is a fantastic animal, but worshiping it and not giving its due respect, such as saying things like you're saying, won't help your cause.

  • These guys are probably pastoral nomads. Protecting their sheep/goat flocks is a matter of economic survival for these people. Hunting wolves with eagles was a natural way to deal with the problem before the arrival of European firearms in that part of the world. Afterwards, it remained as a tradition.

  • @isabelacita In the Old days they Start Eat Dog's in War Era WWII Because it's a Hard Days time. And for "PULUTAN' Snack FOR GIN OR BEERS' Until Now but For Meal.

  • @isabelacita you an Asian? liar' if your asian you know the answer. you don't have to ask Me just read your Ancestral History or Grandparents.

  • damn it! the dog almost had those asshole birds! sorry...if it's between a bird or a dog...i'll cheer for the dog always! poor baby puppy doggies! ok ok i know it;s 'cultural' but still it SUCKS!!!! i feel bad for the dogs!

  • The song is mesmerizing.

  • Okna Tsahan Zam, the musician/singer, is a decendant of Jenghiz Khan and his mother Oleun Eke & father Yesugai The Brave.

  • iam so in love with this song please anyone post its translation

  • I don't think that should be honored. Yeah you got an eagle to do some dirty work for you. I doubt in normal circumstances the eagle would be taking down wolves. Another case of humans changing nature. Maybe most people don't see it that way but I do. This is no better than dog fighting or cock fighting. Forcing animals to kill each other. How can anyone find this beautiful. Change the music to that of horror movies and see how attitudes change.

  • @OrgXIIIWolfy lol because in nature animals don't fight, they smile and sing songs, they only started fighting when humans showed up.

  • @BaronVonKenny iss ever one think like u werld will bee beter plase

  • @OrgXIIIWolfy Yes, because eagles totally don't pull rams and other various large animals over cliffs on their own will everyday.

  • I only wish it could be pet dog haha that would be awesome *no offense XD

  • song is interesting

  • really brave BIRD

  • Joe Rogan Experience podcast110xx

  • Apparently birds are more badass than I had previously suspected. If someone had told me eagles killed wolves (of any variety) I'd have called bullshit, but after seeing the size of those fucking talons I'm shocked. Hell, that bird would fuck me up if I didn't see it coming, and maybe even if I did! I'd take my chances with the wolf bare-handed before I would that eagle.

  • we Mongols highly respect the Mother Nature. We live wild, we live as nomadic, we live with freedom, we live with no law. We live under law of the Nature...

  • I can't believe how this video got to be so debated. They hunt because they must, and they use the birds because it is a effective way of killing without having to turn to guns which are bad for pretty much everything.

  • Shav, there is technology. Somebody filmed it. LOL Also, looks like one of the guys is wearing adidas. LMAO Still a bad video.

  • a way of living every man would dream off

  • eagles got each others backs

  • BADASS VIDEO!!!! I take my hat off to you!

  • Kazakh and Mongolian nomads are the ultimate badasses.

  • This is still a jaw-dropping and amazing thing to watch, even after 10+ times. I'll never get tired of this incredible video :)

    Go berkutchi!

  • awesome!!!!!

  • @yehSimplyMe all dogs descendet from wolves

  • @Petr1000100 How about Hyena wasn't no wolves.

  • @yehSimplyMe sorry i dont udnerstand you, what are you trying to say?

  • Predator/Human partnership. Badass

  • i want a eagle to to use to hunt i love eags they ar cool.

  • I wanna know if eagles would hunt smallish wolves in the wild without being trained to do so. I think the wolves are running more from the humans and horses than the birds, they don't seem to be expecting a fucking eagle to swoop down on them.

  • OKO_O Eagles are officially badass birds.
