Is there a difference between laser shifting and laser jamming?

does the shifting feature work every time or is it not reliable lik a lot of shifters, thanks.

It's been my personal experience that LED-based laser jammers from Escort, Beltronics, and Blinder have proven to be much more reliable than other current designs.
Historically, the Lidatek LE-10 (which was laser-diode based) proved also very reliable as it was designed to high engineering standards. Unfortunately, Lidatek has been defunct for some time, now.
Therefore, I would be stick with one of the three aforementioned majors and you will be very satisfied long-term.
