  • I want to be homeschooled. Im currently getting bullied in school

  • What I didn't learn in public school, I learned at home from my maternal grandparents who lived thru the Great Depression of 1929. I'm grateful to them for teaching me the envelope system for bill-paying and saving. I also grew up on home-canned and frozen foods from their garden. My grandmother loved History, and she was never afraid to share with me what she was taught when she was in school.

  • I homeschooled my son from preschool thru the 11th grade. At 17 he received his GED and went on to college and graduated with High Honors. As an only child, I did many things to enrich his life and to "socialize" him. Friends and family had nothing positive to say when I told them of our plans to teach him at home, If they had known what would happen to their children, they too might have opted to do the same . One went to prison for armed robbery another for dealing drugs. I feel vendicated.

  • My husband and I homeschool and have for the past 2 years. It has completely changed our lives! My children tell me everyday they love me (ages 5, 8, and 13). We ALL went from having really bad attitudes to having more loving, giving, and family oriented children. I recommend it to everyone. Everything your children learned up until they went to school, they learned from you, so why stop there?

  • @TarriHedges That's fantastic! It's amazing what happens! In my opinion, where God is not allowed (public school) then neither will my children be allowed. As time goes on, you will unlock so many more things. It's amazing with our kids to watch all of them learn to read from us! Why give it away to a socialistic school district? Thanks so much!

  • Fantastic. I do not think freedom can really be had without including the education of our children in the plan. Especially considering that idealistically, socially, etc. we get out what we put in. It's an immense responsibility that i absolutely question giving away.

    Wonderful video.

  • I truly enjoyed your video and agree with home-schooling as the best way to begin the education process in children. My children are now 19, 17 and 15...and they all were home-schooled before I sent them to a private school. They are all doing very well academically and their characters are great..They do say the " "yes sir/yes maam" My oldest is now a freshmen in college , majoring in Theology, so homeschooling does work. Keep doing what you are doing..You and you family will be blessed.

  • The Western "Educational" System is actually an "Indoctrination" System. This includes pre-school, middle school, high school, and the colleges.

The entire educational system creates obedient slaves. Parrots, that memorize and repeat trivia, not actual thinkers and creators.

  • The entire educational system is administered by the "government." That includes the colleges.

  • I wish you all would stop referring to "public schools". What they are is GOVERNMENT schools. Once you get that, the whole racket begins to make sense.

  • Excellent... off to the second of three videos on this subject.

  • Agree 100%... I would go without food and other basics before I send my child to a public school in CA. Furthermore, there is NO concrete evidence that homeschooled kids suffer any "social or interacting" problems. None whatsoever.

  • That's the spirit! Yeah it comes with a lot of economic sacrifice for my wife and I. People that say they have trouble with social interacting simply don't understand. My kids are in soccer, scouts, have friends, and look adults & kids in the eye when they speak.

    Thanks!

  • I could pay you to school my children too.

That is the good thing about the free market.

  • Exactly!

  • All these things are just propoganda spread by the public school system. They loose the tax dollars they receive from that child if you home school. The reasoning for children to need to be around other kids their own age is to learn socializing skills.

  • Homeschooling is the reason there are so many creationists who think that the world is 6000 years old and evolution teaches that everything comes from nothing.

Furthermore kids should go to school with other kids their age so they can learn how to interact with their peers in an environment that is not controlled by their parents, that way they learn to be more independent and think for themselves early on, instead of beeing indoctrinated by their parents.

  • Well you have 2 choices:

    1) Let the parent indoctrinate their kids; or

    2) Let the state, media, and corporations indoctrinate your kids.

Do you interact with peers your age all day? I don't. My kids learn to interact with people of all ages every day.

Creation and Evolution are an entirely different subject. Even scholars of Science and religion alike have trouble detailing origins & all the facts. That's not fair to put that up to a parent that teaches his kids to read, write - etc.

  • I would love to homeschool my 2 daughters, but I am a single Mom. Anyway to home school when you have to work 8-5?

  • That's a tough situation... I addressed that briefly in my 3rd video. We each have our own life situations.... But you can always teach some in the evenings "unlearn" them if you have to etc.

  • I was home schooled and went on the Graduate from Ohio State University. So I have nothing but praise for home schooling ones children.

  • Case number 2003403493 of a home schooled person who graduated collage. Thanks for your comment!

  • Excellent!

  • I want to puke when I think I wanted to home school my son & insted trusted the public school system...

    Your a 5 star parent

  • Thanks for your compliment. Yeah that's tough.

But you can only work from today..... Even if he is an adult its never too late to show them new things.

  • I stop short of saying everyone should homeschool, but I certainly think a homeschooling can easily be superior to that of public schools, where we send our children to pollute their minds. I am for schooling our children outside of the public education system in general. Whether that be homeschooling or a very good private school. I'm simply for it!

  • I agree with you on alot of this. but alot of it depends on the parents if they are able to teach. My wife is a 3rd grade teacher and her biggest complaint is that not enough parents spend time with their child doing the home work. Home schooling is for a select few. Alot of kids home schooling screws up their social skills and limits friends and thats a big part of school and growing up

  • Parents are certainly crucial with homeschooling. Many of your wife's parents I imagine "dump" off their children to school every day.... Like a modified daycare (not taking away from your wife's career so don't get me wrong).

But honestly I disagree a bit. Every single child that I've met that has been home schooled has had excellent social and communication skills... Especially with adults. My children look adults in the eye "yes sir/yes maam" and talk to them. But you are right DEPENDS.

  • @nygrappler1 NO PARENT SHOULD SEND THEIR CHILD TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS ! FOR MANY REASONS

  • We "homeschool" too, using the public school as a tool to help us to that end. We believe EVERY parent is ultimately responsible for their children's education, regardless of the method(s) they choose.

Homeschooling, like public school, only works if the parents are diligent and committed to their children's progress. I've seen great success and great failure in both public and homeschooling. It all hinges on the parents IMO.

  • I agree with you 100%, but we were glad when public school started just to get a break from the little rugrats. You must have a lot of energy.
