So the small lines between centimeters are called millimeters. Also a kilometer is 1000 meters and the system is not done by 12 it is done by 10. I'm sorry, but your explanation is totally inaccurate and misleading. First, each number on the inch side indicates ONE INCH, not one foot, as you say in the video. Secondly, there are not 1000 marks on the metric side of the ruler, there are only about 300, since the ruler only extends to 30 cm. Furthermore, each small mark is a millimeter, not meters or centimeters as you say. If you are going to make a video about math, it has to be a lot more accurate than this one!!
@ThioJoe you got it WRONG. i am from sweden and we have the metric system. everone here is educated in the metric system and cghersen is right in every word that he/she sais... one inch=2,5cm=25milimeter. one meter=100cm. one kilometer= one thousend meter. one metric mile=10000meter or 10kilometer. easier with 10kilometer... one foot=30cm. one us mile is 1609,344 meters.
