Nope not a joke, Budden can rap circles around Lupe. I think Lupe lacks cadence in his voice. Lyrically he's nice, but I don't feel a connection personally to his music and what he's saying even though I understand it, I just don't care for what he's saying...Or how he says it rather. No disrespect to him, but Joe Budden is a lot more like the average person in his music while Lupe to me tries to be someone super special when he's really average too. Also, The Cool was wack compared to F&L.

actually both albums were ill. The cool had songs like. The Coolest, Hip Hop Saved My Life, Superstar, Intruder Alert, Gold Watch, Little Weapon, Dumb it Down (he was on another planet with the sick lines), Put you on Game, and lastly Fighters all the songs are mentioned are pure heat and are on the album and it might be songs i might be missin.

You know what, it's Lupe's production on The Cool, that turned me off. From a production standpoint F&L just felt leagues ahead of The Cool to me and for The Cool not to maintain that momentum is what let me down because it's bad enough that he has to deal with his voice. Lyrically he's nice, but his voice and beats on the Cool aren't that great. I can ALWAYS depend on Joe for a hot 16 on a crazy joint.
