wenger was a nobody 10 years ago. but look what he has accomplished with arsenal that wasn't really a big big club 10 years ago. a few league titles, cl finale and one of very few club who has qualified to cl every year. last year they almost won the leauge with such a young and cheap team. I won't agree fully on what you say.Maybe Wenger wasn't known some years ago, but Arsenal was always a well known team in England having many league tittles (first ones being around 90 years ago) and the team has accomplished much.We had some shortage of trophies recently but having that 49 unbeaten run in 2003/2004 is something that no other club managed.
