Do you know dirty oil is actually oil that hasnt been naturally liquified? it takes a process of decontamination and refining. There processing is expensive and then you'd have to refine it again to convert it into what we use as our oil boilers and gasoline/petroleum for our automobiles. "That oil" is such a small drop in the bucket of world oil, though, ChristianM17, so even if we had it now, it wouldn't be making much difference.

True, most of our energy comes from oil. But there are better choices that decrease the ecological and geopolitical price we pay to use them, as well as the consumer dollars we pay.

Solar energy's been talked about since the 1930s. What if we'd put our efforts into THAT all this time???
