i dont understand why the selling point of this advert is the consequences of the stabber. why not focus on the people who suffered with the loss of someone important to their lives - that is, show their upset mother and brothers.

but then again the type of person to stab another is probably driven more by how their own life is affected then their empathy towards others.

@mousemutant I think it's because that's the person that they're trying to reach, the point of the video is that they're trying to dissuade people from carrying knives in the first place, and that's why they're focussing on the offender.

I can see what you mean though, there are many people who have lost loved ones or who know someone who has been injured because of this type of behaviour. I just can't understand the mentality of a lot of people in this country.

It doesn't happen like that. Most people who carry knives don't tend to stab by accident. It's not that they are in the wrong place at the wrong time. Its that they go out, take drugs and look for people from another scheme to stab. Most people who carry knives either end up in jail or dead.
