"Town & Country Time" was the Wash DC early 1950's TV show, which was also kinescoped and syndicated. Evlis made a brief appearance in early 1956 promoting his concert on the boat ride out to Mt Vernon VA (just before he took off nationally).
Shortly after this, Jimmy Dean and The Texas Wildcats had a TV show in Washington DC. Fiddle- Buck Ryan, Banjo- Smitty Irven, Bass- Mary Click..then he added a girl singer..an unknown local girl named Patsy Cline..then another banjo picker named, Roy Clark. This was shortly before Big Bad John, Walking After Midnight, and Roy going big time.
