Edea's ice strike hits Squall so fast at the end of disk 1 it almost looks like a shard penetrates right through his body and kills him. When I pause it now though I can see there's actually a shard that passes him by in the background while another hits him in the chest but doesn't impale him. Still don't know how he survived that impact though!
@tomsukusername Its Final Fantasy, dude, Sephiroth impaled Cloud in the chest, twice. He should have died, twice, but he didn't. Final Fantasy characters are strong and can survive just about anything, apparently. I'm surprised that Cloud survived getting impaled, while Aerith didn't.

I've played VII and its my favorite of them all, but there are better characters than Cloud. That is my opinion, which makes us different and something we outta respect.

@ranmox He decided to go under the alias Leon because he felt he was not worthy of the name Squall because he couldn't save Radiant Garden from Maleficent. He is still Squall Leonhart, just that he wants to be called Leon until he redeems himself. But I am not sure if I am 100% correct.

I completely agree! With everything you said! Squall was cooler with his shorter hair, and still being called SQUALL, not Leon. In KH he's way TOO laid back, it makes it seem stupid. In FFVIII he was laid back and '...whatever.' but in KH he's just...yuck. And I also love references. "It's a kind of magic." Funny, not many people have heard of the movie we're referencing, I love it!

i didnt like the fact VIII had a love story to it. But the junction system made it worth it. Simply put, that was the best video ever. The best put together, perfectly combined music and scenes. I think this not only just a great movie but so great it honors Final Fantasy. Much of the original music were Midis to save space. Even with midi files, and no in-game speach, these games took up multiple CD's so it's not surprising they wanted to save space. if they had included more mp3 songs back in the days before dvd instead of 4 disks it would have probably been 6

You know nothing on this matter, i doubt you even played FF8 cos if you did you would know the original didn't have electric guitars, no voice intro, and had a slow drum beat through out.

This is one of the games I want to see remastered. Don't get me wrong the game was great the way it is. But with our advancements in graphics, I wonder what it'll look like in a better quaility.

Screw CLOUD, Squall is where it's at!!! And no, I don't think that Squall, Cloud, or Sephiroth is emo. If anyone wants to say that, quite frankly, I don't give a damn. But yeah, Squall is the awesomest character in the world. And the intro is super-fucking awesome, too. GO SQUALL!!!! So why the hell did they turn him all stupid and terrible, and name him Leon, in KH???? LOL I love the scene in KHII with him and Cloud gettin' ready to kick some Heartless ass... xD

The reason they changed his name in the KH series is because he wanted to "Distance" himself from his past, seeing as his home world was run over by the heartless

Not really. That's the STORY version. However, there was no need to actually change his name. They wanted a simple name that sounded stupid. Y'know, for kids!
Seriously, you didn't even need to change Cloud, but kids are happier with Leon than Squall, because they think "LULZ ITZ LIEK LION!"
Not necessary at all. :( They ruined the character by giving him long hair and changing his awesome name.

@ranmox He decided to go under the alias Leon because he felt he was not worthy of the name Squall because he couldn't save Radiant Garden from Maleficent. He is still Squall Leonhart, just that he wants to be called Leon until he redeems himself. But I am not sure if I am 100% correct.

basically Squall changed his name in KH to Leon in order to set himself apart from "Squall" who was helpless to save (it's hinted Balamb in KH1 but then thasnks to KH2 Radient Garden makes more sense), so yeah basically your about right, they never said anything about him ever intending to change it back
he's squall in the FF games and he's still usually awesome.

I completely agree! With everything you said! Squall was cooler with his shorter hair, and still being called SQUALL, not Leon. In KH he's way TOO laid back, it makes it seem stupid. In FFVIII he was laid back and '...whatever.' but in KH he's just...yuck. And I also love references. "It's a kind of magic." Funny, not many people have heard of the movie we're referencing, I love it!

i didnt like the fact VIII had a love story to it. But the junction system made it worth it. Though this song made waiting thru a soso final fantasy, to hear it! though first time thru i slaughtered griever way too quick to hear this song! 3 rounds total, and no cheat devices either! island closes to heaven and island closest to hell are where you can pick rare stat boosts!

Simply put, that was the best video ever. The best put together, perfectly combined music and scenes. I think this not only just a great movie but so great it honors Final Fantasy. Your skill is unmatched punkchick thanks for makeing such a great video it was a joy to watch...maybe more than 1 time...lol...whole family liked it

Much of the original music were Midis to save space. Even with midi files, and no in-game speach, these games took up multiple CD's so it's not surprising they wanted to save space. if they had included more mp3 songs back in the days before dvd instead of 4 disks it would have probably been 6
