This was a clip from the 1966 Bat-Movie, which was filmed between Seasons 1 and 2 of the TV series.

Note that the Penguin (Burgess Meredith) refers to the Batmobile as "The Birdmobile". In a Season One episode, he stole the Batmobile, called it the Birdmobile, and tricked it out to look like a Penguin car.

The Batcycle (looking far different than in the 1966 movie or seasons 2 and 3 of the TV series) made its debut in that episode.

This classic TV show is very nostalgic to me as I was a kid in the 1960's watching this in prime time. Every kid watched this & I saw the batmobile at a new car show in 1967. The 60's was a groovy time The Munsters were great also & I have a die-cast model of the Munster Koach & I used to have a Munsters lunchbox in grade school back in 1965 or '66. Those were the good old days. No one did Batman better than Adam West.

oh my goodness. at 1:48 the bat cycle. the fairing body shape is is an almost exact match to the current suzuki hayabusa, including the longer front nose that extends beyond the axel of the front wheel. this design proved much more stable at high speed. the 'busa' came out in the '90's. This was, what...1966-67?? I wander if Barris designed this as well? If so, he or whomever was way before their time. wow.
