I I left my home of green rough wood, A blue velvet couch. I dream till now A shiny dark bush Just left of the door. Down the walk Clickity clack As my doll in her carriage Went over the cracks- "We'll go far away. MM
I'm a metal fan girl and I don't usually wear dresses or anything, but looking at Marilyn for some reason makes me want to put some fucking high heels on, an expensive dress, make up and go outside charm people HAHA. She was perfect.
honestly, I don't care if she was a fake blonde and had a fake nose; people can lie to themselves all they want, but it is obvious to me that she had a brilliance about her that no other actress in her time had, or any other actress since...a light that came from within.
@sillbill94 Yes, you are right. Sometimes people make her much bigger than she really used to be. However you must concede that she was special one. :)
@sillbill94 She was. She has something charming and glamour in her behaving. She knew how to pose very well. First you should whatch her movies to comment about it. :) However I, personally, prefer Jane Russel as actor.
@sillbill94 And I have seen her act I just think she's just slightly over rated my opinion only. But I prefer Joan Crawford and Lucille Ball! AMAZING WOMEN WHOM I ADORE!!!!
@pics2share I do have a right to my opinion as do you. And I respect you for that but it is kinda cool because she started all of the 50s revolution, however she was more known for her sex appeal rather than acting ability. Which is fine but if she was gonna do that she went into the wrong business..Their are much more elegant stars than her like Joan Crawford..
For future historians out there Norma Jean expired on Aug 4th. I was alive and well then and I remember the night she left us. On Aug the 5th it was already being broadcast on radio stations at the time that Marilyn Monroe was found dead. I will never forget it. It was a cool night when she died. We watched "The Last Time I Saw Paris" on the Colgate Theater on channel 4 here in LA.. I went to bed early and the next morning my mom was in tears when she said that Marilyn was gone.
Marilyn Monroe, i am in love with you! I want you to be mine Marilyn! She is my favourite women and celebrities of all time! I want her to be my wife and I wanna marry her. I wanna meet u in heaven and marry u marilyn monroe
Marilyn Monroe like Diana, Princess of Wales, were two of the most beautiful women of the 2Oth Century. They lived their lives in the glare of the media & had their share of unhappiness. They were loved by millions & their tragic deaths shocked the world. They have found immortality as generations will hear about them & be in awe & admiration of their beauty & their beautiful personalities.
Marilyn is the definition of glamour. Even after so many years people are still so mesmerized by Marilyn and discovering old archival video footage of her. She is luminous in every photograph of her and every one of her films.
Marilyn Monroe personified Hollywood Glamour! During her career Marilyn made twenty-nine films and left one, unfinished. The 1962 film, "Something's Got To Give". She was more than just a movie star and glamour queen. She was a global sensation and a Star Icon!
Fondly, Hedda

You have every right to your opinion, but overrated or not, there is no
question she left her mark as a celebrity and icon. People of today
are still compared to her, when there have been other blondes since
her death. Books are still being written. She often gets discussed
as if she was current. There may be those who are thought prettier,
shaplier, more talented, but there will never be another Marilyn Monroe.
You find her "overrated", but you're here. No more needs saying.

I like Joan as well, but much of her image was a facade
she created. The good and loving mother, the "breeding"
when she really came from very meager beginnings. Some
poo poo Marilyn, yet its Joan who supposedly was a prostitute
at one time, and allegedly had a stag film, as they were called
then, in her past. Still, fought to better herself, and her life,
and she did, becoming one of the greatest celebrities, but why
is she even being mentioned here?
pics2share 1 year ago
Sorry she was so false and just didn't do it for me. She had nowhere near the natural beauty of Audrey Hepburn.

@bigttim1 Or Joan Crawford and Lucille Ball!:)

@bigttim1
I don't think any of these clips to these legends are purporting
that any one is "better" than the other, so it seems really silly when
those of you come to a clip of someone to say how you feel they're
not as good as another celebrity. Why not go to one of the clips of
Audrey, since you prefer her, to show some love....than come to this
one of Marilyn, just to spout negative speak? Does it increase the
power of your orgasms, or something? There ARE clips of Audrey.

It's so strange how they always painted her eyes blue when colouring films that were originally made in b/w. It looks quite odd.
