well you can't be sure if she's a french singer or not, Pink Martini is from New Orleans which is of french origin so she could be french/american with just a hint of an accent. not only that but they do songs in french english and i think spanish, so there's a wide range of varriables. *shrug* idk just saying you can't be sure, not to mention when you sing wierd strange stuff happens that makes your voice sound the slightest bit different.

But in some lyrics you can see that it's l'oublier or t'oublier, then its meaning turns into; I just want to forget him or you. With only oublier it's I just want to forget. She's not pronouncing it precisely that's the cause of all the fuss.
