The music volume does not allow the viewers to hear what the actors are saying clearly.

Its the same type of experience as if there was a video clip of someone's muscle car on youtube, and they had loud music dubbed over the clip so the viewers can't actually hear the engine.

It was a creative decision to edit to the music because what the actors are saying doesn't matter in the context of this outtake reel. Nothing they actually said was funny. It was focusing on their actions in this reel. The mistakes and funny bits are visual.

You hit the nail on the head - it was just a lot of fun. We were limited with how we could insert ourselves too, but we did ok. The film was made in 1999 I think or 1998 when chromokey computer effects at home were still fairly new to do on a home PC. Thanks for your comments.
