I don't know why people are seeing the ending in a depressive way. At the start you already knew he was dying, yet from what happens throughout the video you can see he's enjoying what time he has left. The smile at the end before he goes shows how much the robot has made his last few days alive the happiest he could ever have :) Just enjoy it guys!
