Fred Silverman, NBC's president from 1978 through '81, really wanted this to succeed on the network. Even with Dan Curtis as producer, this was a DISASTER (there weren't even any "insert" scenes of the train moving, due to a mishap with the VERY expensive model during initial filming, until two days before the show's premiere), and became Silverman's legacy at NBC. Curtis' #1 composer, Bob Cobert {"Dark Shadows"), wrote the theme, later recycled into Bob Stewart's NBC game show "CHAIN REACTION"!
This is the opening theme, not the end theme, OK?
