  • yes you can record and charge it at the same time!!

  • Yeah, i did something similar tonight, but i had spot metering turned on and the noise is shocking..

  • is there anyway to make the wind nosie go away? or it happens with the casing in it. can u remove it?

  • @northsiderollers Pinnacle Studio has an option to remove sound. Other than using a video editing program IDK

  • thats a sweet video man! dont know which one i like more, the GoPro or the GTO haha, and i thought that ambulance was a cop signalling you to pullover after that race! lol

  • nice vid and work.

thanks for the details on your setup

  • GoPro SUCKS at night...but a wonderful camera for daylight! I got my first GoPro HD a year ago, just got my 2nd one about 2 months ago...I highly recommend this camera to anyone! Eventhough it does suck at night lol

  • just put a small piece of foam over the mic might take the wind noise down a bit

  • so is spot better than center for night filming?

  • @fsC130J Well, Spot makes the footage darker so I'd say no. That's just my opinion though. The night test I did in 1080P is without Spot metering and it came out pretty good.

  • Hey bud, that's an awesome video. I was wondering how you got rid of the glare, like on the tail lights. I just took mine out for the first time, it came out very bad. Everything was dark, didn't pick up on light very well, and any light had VERY bad glare. any suggestions. I used 1080p with spot metering on the outside windshield with the water/wind backing

  • Thanks for ur help man!

  • Are there alot of mounting options for a vehicle? How and where do u have urs mounted? Thanks!

  • @CrazyGook - It uses an industrial strength suction cup so you can mount it on almost any flat surface you want on your car inside or out. I've had it mounted on the hood, inside the windshield, on the rear quarter panel, front quarter panel, and the roof.

  • @clee130 Thanks for the quick reply! Kind of stinks there is no screen so you can see what you are recording. Are hardwiring options included or additional ad ons?

  • @CrazyGook - GoPro just released a firmware update so you can have a live feed out so that should help with the setup to see what you're recording. I don't believe you can charge and record at the same time. You can go to their website and see all the other accessories that they have.

  • @clee130 One more question, is there a time and date stamp thats viewable while watching video on pc or mac?

  • @CrazyGook - I think that's an option during the live feed out but I'm not sure if there is a time stamp on the video itself. That might be a question for GoPro directly.

  • @clee130

It is possible to record while charging. thats another reason why i upgraded to the hd

  • @clee130 actually you can charge and film at the same time, but you need power adaptor for the car.

  • Lots of exposure or im drunk

  • trans am?

  • @tietie1424 - GTO

  • @clee130 oh badass! I just saw the ram air looking hood panels and thought it was a bird. Very nice though!

  • this reminds me of gta IV ^^

  • Feels like it's forever slipping downward. lol

  • @Arbi2er i was thinking the same thing! lol

  • i have been playing around with mine, rying to get more clarity at night when filming, gonna try center focus, had spot focus on the past few times

  • F me thats amazing quality, im gettin one, cant wait to ride out at night... er so to speak

  • can you use this camera just to walk around like any other camera

  • Yes, but there's no screen on the back so you won't be able to see or review the footage until you download it to your computer.

  • I thought you are supposed to mount them on the inside of the windscreen? Thats the idea of spot meter. I have only just got mine so not 100% sure still I'm impressed cheers

  • You can mount the camera in or outside the car.

  • @clee130 did you use the spot meter setting for this recording?

  • @JazzFiveO - Yes, spot metering was used.

  • yeah, now i know for sure i got mine last week!!!

  • Wind noise is reduced if it's placed further back on the car and can be overcome if it's placed next to a louder exhaust. See my other video with the Trailblazer and STI racing to see what I mean.

  • what's that sound???

    wind???

  • yes, wind noise

  • supercharged???

  • @locotes187

    no

  • looks pretty good. whats all done to your GTO? how do you feel about it? I got an 01 Camaro Z28 & im thinking about buying one for it... let me know thanks

  • the glare! quality is still sucking on the hd too! LD

  • The glare is because the housing is dirty.

  • side note concerning 3:00 in video. what a fucking moron!!!! thats how people get killed on highways... better yet, there was NO reason for him to move over....he was not overtaking anyone

  • wow that looks great! car sounds great as well! :D

  • illegal highspeed race! did you get busted ?

  • lol!

  • He is on the motorway...

  • Nice camera. Plus I know that highway very well. ;-)

  • Thanks. I've got better footage coming up too. :-D

  • Well, it's going to be better because now you're not doing it in a gold 4th gen. LOL
