First off, you don't know single thing about anything in regard to what came before the universe, or what exist "outside" the universe. To say otherwise is incredibly arrogant and intellectually flawed. I'm not Christian, I'm agnostic; and I find many atheist to use flawed logic as their justification for claiming God certainly does not exist.

It is a way for humans to cope with death. A lot of people are afraid of nothingness, which is completely understandable. But for me, it is relaxing. I feel that a heaven, where everything is perfect and there's no problems, sounds like a hell. What is life without problems and overcoming them? That is just my thoughts.

By the way, when we're talking about God, this doesn't pertain solely to supernatural interpretations of a higher intelligence. I believe there may be a "God" but it is not the entity portrayed in mainstream religion. The simulated reality theory is a very interesting idea that may prove itself soon; however I've talked to an atheist who bundled it with religion and said without evidence it's just as illogical.
