What interesting looking ducks. The ones I know are green and brown. Must be a different breed of duck. The other day, I saw a flock of ducklings in the park. So cute! ::hearts::
@blulaguna18 Hello friend, This camera is a Panasonic HDC-TM85. It has 40x optical zoom which was one of the main selling points. I'm very happy with this purchase though it is a little rough to use in wind as it picks up wind noise very easily. Thanks for watching. Have a great day! ~Kurt :-)
I once read a description of the ecological system that has developed over the centuries around the flow of water through the farms on the hill sides and down into the valleys. I never thought I 'd see it up close like this. Thanks.

@welwisher I believe it's a wild duck called the Spot Billed Duck (Anas poecilorhyncha), native to that region.

fascinating... but why would a farmer elect to flood their filed? Are they adding nutrients to the soil?
MyRandomuser123 8 months ago
@MyRandomuser123 It's a rice paddie mate. Rice grows in water.

One of the things I've always loved about Japan is that they seem so in tune with the tremendous beauty in such simple things as this.

There's two things I wanted to say:
1. Why not wipe your leans first, not being rude, just some advice! :)
2. You do have a nice zoom you have there, what type of camera do you use? :)

@TheGhostOfSabotage if a lens cloth is not handy, wiping the lens will smear it and make it a lot worse :)
