Help me!! im goin to buy my first DSLR camera..i choose Nikon D90..my problem is i dont know what to buy.should i buy camera w/ 18-105mm VR lens kit? or i should only buy the camera w/out lens and buy the lenses separately instead? is buying the kit will save me a lots of money? what lenses should i buy perfect for D90? is the 18-105mm VR good enough? to give you an idea here in Korea u can buy the camera only for around 750$ and for the camera w/ 18-105mm VR lens kit around $1140.. pls HELP!!

That small little plastic if I am not wrong, is to cover the viewfinder when u totally do not want any light to leak through the viewfinder to your camera. You can read your camera manual. :)

Nope thats right it's the viewfinder cover to block light.

If Nikon's anything like Sony, that plastic thingy is to cover the viewfinder if you're shooting with the self timer or a remote. You have to take off the rubber eyepiece around the viewfinder and then slide on the plastic piece. From what Sony's told me the light from the lcd can affect the shot through the viewfinder. Not sure how it can ruin the shot, but I guess a company wouldn't waste time and money on plastic for nothing.
