I would say no it is not Mac Callum, I am from the clan but I live in Australia. My Grandfather is the Drum Major of Glen Innes Pipe Band and he wears the Mac Callum tartan and what he wears is not that. But I must say excellent playing!!

The Tattoo circa 1967. Ian Morrison was the Piper to Play the Solo at thr top of the castle. Hed didn't play, so Pipe Major, John Alan played from the esplanade!! Morisson was shagging one of the Australian Pipers! LOL. I was a piper with the QOHldrs that evening.

Great Piper! Notice also that he is always surveying the crowd as a soldier would. He is noticing everything while he is piping for those watching. I would bet that if a threat arose the pipes would drop and he would spring into action.

No, the foot tapping is fairly typical with solo pipers. Although you won't see it done if the occasion is formal, or in the band circle. If you listen to competition solo pipers recordings, you can hear their foot tapping. I might suggest you have a look at BBC Radio's web site. Look for the program, PIPELINE. there you will hear some of the best pipers in fairly recent competitions and performances. The piper in the video, is quite good, he is the George Watsons College Pipe's Pipe Major.
