As background to the last part of this sketch, at the opening of the show, Jack is awakened at 4 a.m. by a phone call from "Hank, the all-night disc jockey", who is hosting a radio show and has a trivia question. Jack can't get back to sleep, which eventually leads to the ending scene.
I love the Jack Benny Show. Classic comedy. And Frank Nelson was the bomb.
