The crossbow had an texture map from the campaign where it has some type of snow camouflage. So that is why Black Ops knows where the camo is and where it's not.

It used to work! For everyone that doesn't know how: have a class with a primary with masterkey or flamethrower, and a crossbow. Switch to your crossbow, and then straight to your masterkey/flamethrower and then die. Whilst dieying, switch to a class without crossbow, and go pick your cross bow up! Whatever camo you had on your primary before, should now be on the crossbow!

Crossbow works because in the story is a Crossbow with camo, too and they forgot to fix it :D So this works with every weapon that has a camo.

Then you pull out your crossbow and press the button which leads you to get the gun with its attachment. When you get killed you will find your crossbow with its camo
