God (or nature or whatever name you choose) did not intend to humans to eat meat. For example, the average carnivores small intestine is 3-4 times its height whereas a human's is 10 times its height, which is similar to that of a herbivore.
Also, your teeth are not typical of a carnivore either, just look at your molars (which make up most of your teeth). A carnivore would have a mouth full of daggers (for slicing into flesh), not teeth that are for grinding up plants (your molars)!

My dad has been a butcher for over 40 years and has slaughtered many animals and Mr. muhammedharris100 is 100% correct. I myself do not agree with eating animals, but th slaughter should at least be as humane as possible.

I am vegeterian muslim because of this,I own pets and I use to own a farm and i never killed one of my animals they would die of old age, but the halal way they talk about here is the quickess way and this has been proven, do some research for yourself. My concern is that of stunning which only put chickens (and some other animals) out of consciousness by up to 90 seconds. When consciousness is regained, these animals actually feel extreme pain BEFORE their major veins are slaughtered. I am going to read more about "bolt stunning" of animals.

I am vegeterian muslim because of this,I own pets and I use to own a farm and i never killed one of my animals they would die of old age, but the halal way they talk about here is the quickess way and this has been proven, do some research for yourself. I personally stoped eating meat because of alot of animals mistreatment, and the horrible painful way they were being killed. I think what some companies do to animals for a quick profit is discusting.

This is b.s. I'm against eating meat but if you must at leaset minimize the suffering of the animal.
Both halal and kosher methods are cruel.
Don't believe that darkages b.s. that it's the most humane and don't cause pain, go to slaughterhouses and see for yourself it ain't so.

@muhammedharris100 i used to work as a butcher and what this mr Muhammedharris100 says is 100% cureckt, there is nothing wrong about the way muslims kill the animals its a bloddy prayer anyways. my sheep and beef dont taste difrent yet

@muhammedharris100 Good info there! Would you be able to reference to the study by Christian scientists so people can read more in details?
My concern is that of stunning which only put chickens (and some other animals) out of consciousness by up to 90 seconds. When consciousness is regained, these animals actually feel extreme pain BEFORE their major veins are slaughtered. I am going to read more about "bolt stunning" of animals.

@muhammedharris100 Another thing that is overlooked is the fear or other emotions left in molecules of meat cells. There's not enough studies on this (for meat consumption).

@muhammedharris100 actually this has not been proven by any scientists. in fact, cutting the arteries like that which supply the brain with blood, work much like a choke does, except in this case, it is inflicted by means of a sharp blade, so rather than the cow going to sleep, it suffers greatly for anywhere from 30 seconds, to 20+ minutes, depending on its ability to withstand going into shock. most times, survival instincts kick in, and the cows do not go into shock.
