You did a wonderful job on this tribute to Gerald. Thank you so much. We need to remember all of the good times. And listening to his music and his fathers and his brothers music reminds me of the good times. God bless his family and yours.
how many of the real singers are left? We have lost a lot of the great ones int he past few years and now Gerald.unbelievble. GERALD, you will always be in my heart.
I actually attended a Luther Vandross concert in 2003 where Gerald Levert was one of the opening acts along side Angie Stone. He was a powerful sanger (not singer, please). I just wished he had dropped a few gospel tunes before his passing. Anyway, God knows best.
My granny died the day before Gerald! 2 days imprinted in my heart for the rest of my life. But God took them to bring forth some more wonderful people
I was in shock when I heard he died. I just pulled up his video for the song "Funny" (my favorite song; thanks for the first tribute) a few days before his passing. He will be missed. He and Luther are somewhere reting, they really worked hard for us f ans when theyw were on earth. R.I.P. "teddy bear"
Another momentous, sensitively handled tribute from a genuine fan.Great that you mention'I Get Hot',the very first Levert album released on Tempre Rec which contained the mid-tempo'I Want Too'and ballad single'I'm Still'.Impossible to believe Gerald was only 19 when he recorded these so very mature tracks. He may have inherited his father's God-given vocal, though he more than distinguished his own individuality as a true soul master, with music that will endure forever. We will miss you Gerald!
I wish I could paint a teardrop on this page. It would express what I am feeling now visually. Gerald LeVert was bigger than life. He was an icon in the music industry. He will live in my heart forever.
This is so beautiful. He was one of the few R&B artists left. No rap hooks, no hard beats, just straight up real music. His music was so beautiful and he made all women who listened feel just as we are, WOMEN!! He was romantic, sensual, understanding, and real. That is just from a fans perspective. I can't imagine what his family is going through. My prayers and thoughts are with them. Gerald, R.I.P. teddy bear

He had a all-girl group called 1 of the Girls, they had a song called "Do Da What". He produced "This Little Game We Play" by Subway feat.702
