does he have a website because if he did he can post many photos of the layout. it may be out of date but do you think he can consider running some amtrak trains on the layout
Thats cool stuff! i remember a PDF he wrote about how to make the catenary, and i've always wanted to ask questions about it. I missed that open house, but maybe next year.
He would love to share it, talk to you, etc..you can email me and I can give you his phone number; I can also send you a copy of the catenary pages if you would like it. That was in one of the RR mags. Let me know if there is a way to give you my email w/o posting it!
I know he has that PDF, thats how i found out about his layout, but i still am not clear on many things, such as how turnouts and crossovers are "wired". I keep studying the photos, but it is extremely difficult to pick out wires in even the most crisp and clear photo! I was hoping light could be shed on such a situation!
Linda, ask your day if he thinks he knows where to find a MP54 MU commuter train? I'm looking to try to do a shelf PRR layout for either the Paoli Local or the West Chest line. I need a Silverliner and MU.
@rrtimetables There is a manufacturer called Island Modelworks that is making Silverliner IIs, along with other models. Do a Google search and you should find them.
