this guy man he is the kind of guy i am... alot of us can relate to this guy am i right? im just a bit different because i like the newer generation hunting but the thing i feel for hunting like our ancestors did and the way i would love to live my life away from society man i wish that was possible for me
Hey i was wondering if you guys could help. Im wanting to learn to use a longbow but everywhere i look the bows are to expensive for me so i was wondering if you guys know of any place that sells good longbows for around $100. It would help greatly if you could help. Im a hunter but i use rifles and now want to use bows so please help and thank you.
This is to IrishBraithre.... Dont get hung up on Longbows.. Go on ebay and pick up a vintage longer then usual recurve bow... one 64-68 inches long can be had for 40-60 dollars... If your new to archery look for a 35 pound bow to start out with... Not because you cant pull a heavier one, but because when your starting out you will learn everything faster if you shoot alot... Especially when trying to master instinctive shooting.. BTW, 1816 easton arrows spine matches up well with a 35lb bow..
I hunt with modern Compound bows. but i still believe that the bow may have changed but the tradition hasnt. there was a time before the bow where we hunted with rocks in slings then came spears then bows and a thousand years later guns. nothing has changed since then. technology has only improved the hunting tools we use today. but the bow is still the most traditional yet modern improvised weapon. I love that people can go back further and hunt traditionaly without the use of the mods.
I shoot and fish myself. But if you really really want to be sporting and hunt like our ancestors did you need to take on a wild boar with a short flint head spear. just walk up to old porky and and shove the tip right into a vital organ. in line with tradition there can be a group of you, say 6, but one of you will probably end up being disembowled. cool eh?
who if not a traditional hunter could hit an aspirin in the air?????????? I do not practice hi theck because I fell deep in advantage over the animals
those who said things against this man probably will cry if only they were half an hour alone in the forest in winter . you must learn before does anybody knows what weight does he soot?
this is also a reason i love hunting and it should not be banned. some people like this guy actually probaly get more of there food from wild game then anything else.
Amazing. In my opinion shooting a flintlock is almost if not harder to shoot precisely than a bow. If you have never shot one, try it. And nothin beats rabbits with beagles.
i like bows because you have a level playing feild with the animal you accually have to hunt the animal and not shoot it with a high powered gun from 300 yards
I have only shot primitive muzzleloaders since 1977. I am getting a little sick of the "bubbba guns" packed in plastic bubbles at Walmart that take pellet powder and saboted bullets and duplicate the performance of a .30-30 deer rifle.
We FOUGHT for separate seasons now the cheatlines have taken over. Aaargh.
i couldnt agree more. there is no rush like that of a primative hunt. weather it be successfull or not, it still cant be beaten. keep the tradition alive my friends.
