This game was absolutely awesome in the arcade compared to a lot of others at the time. Great graphics, and sounds. I love the gong-like noise ATARI used in their games. I tried to play this on PC emulating the game with keyboard and it was unplayable. The infinitely-spinning one like in the arcade was a must.

OMG I LOVED this game in the 7-Eleven near my house when I was in 10th grade! I used to go there on my bike with friends on a weekend night and play about $10 worth and eat candy! LOL! This was one of my favorite games ever!

This was my favorite arcade driving game. I played this several times at a pizza hut that used t9o be near me. There was another driving game that the engine sounded similar , but it made a beeping sound 3 times like it was saying jingle bells.

I play this game on ps2 and that first tracked you raced is the most frustrating track for me! Not only does the car blow up if you drive off the overpass, but the helicopter will sometimes place you right at the edge, making you fall two more times! Also, over-steering on that turn with the open/close wall can lead you headed the wrong direction, if the wall opens at just the right time. Haha, frustrating!

This is an amazing game and I was able to set a new World Record of 16,210 points at FunSpot last month. This only beat out 1st place by almost 1000 points. I don't have access to a Super Sprint so I did the best I could. I won't have a video of my record run because it was verified by a Twin Galaxies Ref Dave Nelson, but J.D. another Twin Galaxies ref did post 2 of my lousy atempts up on You Tube. My Championship Sprint World Record of 19,170 will be posted in a few days.

You're driving it wrong!

You had to just plant the accelerator and then spin that steering wheel, you had full powerslide action and you used the sideways drift of the car as a brake.

An absolute classic, shame it won't come to the 360..

It's harder because you don't have analog steering like the arcade, well at least I think it's hard to do that...

What u cant see in the video is that the arcade console had 3 or 4 player spots that each had an eternally spinnable steering wheel with gas and brake pedals near the floor.You really had to spin that steering wheel to get around those corners.The awesome controls are what made this game a classic and no videogame control will recreate the experience. :P

nice vid. but you should have included apple pies somehow, Aside from that good vid. I used to play this on the c64. Against the computer, after you had won several, the computer suddely starts racing perfectly! Dunno if that happens in this version.
